This is exactly what I was hoping to see from this game: new content added after launch including new levels, new Pokemon, and more. I just didn't expect it to be free!

Never expected the shrinking thing. ...Or DLC for this game, for that matter. Very nice.
The best for that is being able to be on Pokémon like the Emolga in the vidéo.
Imagine being on the back of a gigantic Lapras or Torterra like living islands, or on the head or shoulders of a Potential Rhyperior in the canyon zone, having the feel of being on a living Mountain.

No, not nice. DLC being a more common place makes MTX (microtransactions) more acceptable, when they shouldnt be.
I've been wanting DLC ever since I finished filling in the photodex in this game! More pokemon and more photo opportunities!

I'm pretty hyped by this. The game was already far beyond my expectations: DLC to expand it is just the cherry on top.

@@Keydicken I would argue this falls more on the DLC end of things, it being additional content not included with the base game. Updates in my eyes fall more on the spectrum of changing what's available as is. Granted, it is not optional DLC, but it would be a thin line to seperate, especially seeing as some "updates" are labeled as DLC, and vice versa.
Regardless, it's free new content on a game that was already more than I expected, so I'm calling it a win.

Getting free new areas from a higher quality spin off is so good it makes the main games look worse IMO

Thank Arceus they made this a free update. Given how we had to pay an additional $30 for the Sword and Shield DLC, this is surprisingly generous from The Pokémon Company.
Namco made this, not TPC. They’re more generous with their content… wish I could say the same for Bandai’s anime games.

@@ceilyurie856 TPC only cares about money, the anime and games only exist to drive up merchandise sales. That’s the reason SwSh was rushed, it was also rushed because Game Freak did not receive any Switch development kits before launch because TPC was more focused on mobile games after the success of Pokémon GO.
I still don't get why people harp on "making you pay an extra thirty bucks" for the SwSh expansion. You know the alternative is paying _sixty bucks_ for the third version(s), right? Do you feel the same way about Crystal, or Ultra Sun/Moon?

This probably would never happen but it’d be neat if we could go tiny mode in the other places too!! Imagine seeing a whole-ass Golisopod from bby mode view
@@crowMilatonin the game described it as a “test mode,” I do think in (possible) future updates they will add more areas in tiny mode because even the characters imply that there is more work to be done on it.
I love how the first thing they show is Mew playfully waving at the camera, as of to say "You didn't forget about the OG final boss of this game, didya'?"
Can we talk about how the mainline games have the Pokemon grow to gigantic proportions and now we have Snap shrink a human to a bug-sized cameraman?
I think someone on the Pokémon team has a very certain set of likes...
Never expected to see a poisonous swamp anywhere outside of Mystery Dungeon. Hope the car has filters in its aircon.
Considering the car can go underwater, I assume keeping poison gas out will be no problem

This is incredible. As is the game. I’ve done all the requests and can’t wait for more. It’s an example of a perfect sequel and was worth the twenty year wait.
This game was incredibly amazing as is. You didn't have to do this. But I'm extremely excited. Is this the best Pokémon spinoff now? Possibly.

This is amazing! The two only let downs are no making pokemon evolve and the music! The music was such a big part of the original it was soo fun and just enhanced the experience for me.

They need to add shiny Pokémon to this game. They amount of insanity would be over 9000.
@@Saixjacket shinies would be cool, but not as a traditional random odds. That would just make the game grindy when you want a shiny goodra halfway through the level and then need to get a perfect shot too. Treating them more like legendaries which can be spotted in one spot in the background when you reach max research level, and they’d automatically get 3 stars and 1000 extra pose points like legendary and illumina pokémon.
@@oddowl9878 I somewhat agree that they wouldn’t want to put the odds as low as they normally are, however that’s part of the Chase isn’t it? You shouldn’t be able to easily get a shiny perfect photo
@@Saixjacket I guess I could see that, but resetting for good photos in this game is already painful enough. As for the challenge, I think getting max research level and finding a well hidden version of each pokëmon is diffucult enough. And with well hidden I mean something like a shiny morelull appearing in the foliage after you’ve already passed it or a Mandibuzz at the top of the cliff near the sandfall which is only vosible for a few seconds. I can’t confirm but I think this was how some legendaries worked in the original.
@@oddowl9878 Yeah, good point that the shiny could just be in a bad location from RNG. They would have to “lock” Pokémon that could be problematic.

Love how this is free! Just got the game a few weeks ago so I'm happy i won't have to buy another dlc this month to get the full experience ^-^ seems like a pretty generous free dlc.

This is a game I can actually get behind updates for, even if it's paid DLC. I'm more then happy to support something of this quality with so much love and effort put into it.
Sheer reason this game is great is because Game Freak didn’t work on it. Free updates without having to pay for them is a blessing in itself.

Fun fact: The Secret Side Path was teased in the original trailer. It has probably been nearly scrapped, but I am glad they still went with the map.
What I love about Pokemon is how consistent it is. It's impressive that the main series games are so consistently bad but that the spin-offs are so consistently good. You'd never see a huge free update in a main series game...

@@Saixjacket charmeleon shouldve been the one to fall into that hole instead of graveler so that it could pop out as a charizard at 0:27, wouldve been that much more amazing to witness. Evolutions in a game as visually vibrant as New Snap would’ve been stunning.

This confirms exactly why this game is legitimately good, I own it and have barely put any hours on it but every time I pick it back up I really am thoroughly enjoying my experience every time.

Those remakes can't even guarantee the national dex.
Snap, being a spin off, didn't have the national dex expectation, so this dlc is actually welcomed being seen as additional content instead of restored or finished up.

Not much to announce for bdsp since we already know so much and legends isn't coming till next year so it's still not far enough in development probably

I can't believe I just noticed that the Pokémon snap games would make a great premise for one of those motion-based 3d dark rides in amusement parks (like Spiderman, transformers, that one jojo ride in Japan(?), etc ).

Seriously, though, perfect timing! I just got this game for my birthday last week and have been having a lot more fun than I was expecting to. I've already beaten the main story, so I'm definitely on board with getting new courses, although there are still plenty of things I want to do in the courses we already have. I'm nowhere near done with my Photodex and it looks like I'm about to be even less done lol.

Gotta be honest, I first figured that if this game was gonna have updates or DLC, I was expecting something like visiting the same locations but during different weather conditions like visiting the jungle when it's raining or the desert during a thunderstorm, but three whole new locations to explore is far more and even better then I expected. 😄
This is a beautiful game, it's nice to see how much they have done for Pokémon Snap sequel to be the art piece we all have been waiting for
