It used to be much worse before the max hit updates. Still the toughest puzzle room though imo

Adding onto some of your info. Shamans will summon thralls until they have 6 on the field and then switch to magic attacks. If you prioritize killing them then more often than not gou avoid getting hit.

Great guide, helped me get my first clear! I found it was easier to mark the monkeys according to which style I need, ie mark throwers red so I dont have to think at all.

Its the worst room in the raid but it's not that bad. Im not good at the game and im not maxed, have pretty basic gear and i can no supplies this room at 300 without ancients /usually/. I do occasionally get blown up by the allahu akbar baboon if im not paying attention lol

On very rare occasions a cursed baboon will walk on your tile but only happened to me like 5 times out of the almost 1k kc toa ive done

I’ve noticed the same but I haven’t nailed down what I’ve done that allows them to walk onto my tile. It’s quite rare when it happens.

Basically what has occurred to make that possible is you have "broken" your hitbox. If you walk onto the tile another monkey was on you and him have no "hitbox" anymore and any NPC can path under you. (i dont know if it happens when u pass through them and are on your own tile after or just when you stand on a tile and the npc walks off it to attack you)

If you've noticed how janky it seems when the cursed baboons drag you around the center pillar when it doesn't even look like they're around the corner, I'm pretty sure that's because their true tiles are ahead of their models, like how when your player model is behind your actual tile in game. I think this combined with the way you can walk through enemies to stack them (like barrage stacking dust devils) is what makes the cursed babs run under you occasionally

I hate the setting that makes enemies disappear immediately upon death. I assume it’s to be able to see quicker but it always makes me just stop and think if they’re dead or glitched, I like seeing the animation.
I’ve only done 3 raids, all in a group, so still learning; this is one of the rooms I’m just there for the vibes.

That's just cause you aren't used to it.
You can't see it = its dead. Not that complicated.

My problem is the pillars and vents. I always repair/douse them, but I still take damage from them. Wtf?

It scales with the number of players. If it’s a 4 man raid and 3 of your team members died you are expected to douse all 4 vents still! Also if you repair pillars while vents are active and vice versa I believe you take damage.
