@@diananoels but i'm sure it looks greasy as hell. Phones lose their oleophobic coating after a while and a cheap way to restore it is replacing the screen protector. But I think OP13 can use a normal flat screen protector without any issue or discomfort when you have a case on, as the curve is minimal.
Exactly the reason why I decided to go with iQOO 13, the better camera system doesn't justify the absolute pain in the ass finding non-UV screen protector for this phone
7:03 OnePlus didn't switch to the telephoto. F/1.6 aperture means it's using the main camera. I think that iPhone did switch to the telephoto, but no doubt that both telephotos are not for lowlight photos.
I have a OnePlus 7T for almost 6 years.... And it's still a solid phone. I haven't had problems with batteries, and even the cameras qualities are still comparable to today's flagships 👏
One plus has been my favorite phone so far, I have one plus 8 and I don't want to get rid of it, but since there's no more updates I will buy the one plus 13.
I have been using a OnePlus 7 Pro and my wife has been using the 7T for 5 years now. They are both really solid phones that have had only very minor issues. OnePlus provided updates through the summer of 2024, so that's 5 years, and they plan to do the same going forward. I feel like 5 years of life out of a phone is the gold standard. If I'm paying close to $1000 for a device, I expect it to be reliable. All of my OnePlus devices have been just that, with even the batteries lasting the life of the phone (my 7 Pro still gets more than a day of battery life even after more than 5 years). I'm replacing our phones with the OnePlus 13, and I hope to continue to see good build quality and reliability out of them.
@@warhead_wolf Well, my wife has really banged up her 7T, I'm sorry to say. The wifi radio frequently drops out and it won't maintain a stable connection on Bluetooth. I decided to upgrade my phone as well. There really isn't anything wrong with it, but I need a control device for my home automation system and my 7 Pro makes tons of sense for it, as it's in great shape and gets good battery life. The only problem is that it needs to stay home -- I can't take it with me if it's used to control the home automation. So I'm just going ahead and upgrading both of them. I'll trade in the 7T for the $100 rebate (making it a $400 spend on a phone that lasted 5 years -- a good deal) and repurpose the 7 Pro.

The OnePlus 13 is a good deal in Asia and despite the fact (which I deplore) that OnePlus is increasing the price of this OnePlus 13 by $100/100€ in the USA and Europe, it is clearly a better deal than the Pixel 9 Pro XL, however, it will not necessarily be a better deal than the S25 Plus unless Samsung also increases the price of its S25 Plus. Ps: the OnePlus 13 has a lot of quality, but I doubt it has a better zoom than the S24 Ultra
@@edekovacs It does cover the flat part of the display. I don't have an issue with it so far; the only issue is that if you don't use a case, it doesn't cover the whole screen (the curved part).

@@techmo2020 nice review. Its surprising to see that no one has ever made a video on the signature feature of the oneplus 13. I.e. 2100 hz pwm display and the DC dimming, flicker free feature. Samsung reportedly is using an upgraded m13 display that fixes the grainy issues found on the 24U.
On the screen protector wise I apply machine cut ones which are made of TPU and the apply nicely on a curved display (I applied it for my uncle's Reno 12 and it was flawless) plus I opt for a thicker case to protect the phone better from the drops so I don't believe it would cause any issues for my use case
