One thing Ottr and his teammates do that he never emphasizes is, they stick together and push together. High level teams fight as a unit. I get so many teammates in Gold and Plat who think they are Faide, run off on their own, take on a 3 stack solo and instantly die. All high level players seem to naturally understand that you need to stay as a squad and support each other to win (as well as having great mechanical skills and game sense/awareness).

Idk what’s going on but after hitting plat I feel like no matter how careful I am I’m just getting deleted from halfway across the map by a third party without time to even react lmao. Doesn’t even matter what map I’m on. Even SP. (yeah ik skill issue)

You sure you are staying away from broken moon?. Because I only have that on that map
1. Try to close your fights as soon as possible. If you don’t think you can quickly kill a team, don’t engage.
2. Land medium-hot so you should be fighting max 1-2 teams when you land. Only drop really far if you’re on a losing streak and just need a break , otherwise, it’s usually more worth it to get a team killed off drop so your warmed up for mid-game.
3. Communicate with your team if you aren’t already. It’s imperative once you reach plat because as soon as one of your teammates walks off or one of you gets focused and dies first, you’re at a huge disadvantage.
One more thing make sure you’re always on high ground I think yt’s often forget this tip becuase as soon as you’re above the enemy team peeking and getting headshots becomes way easier and it basically doubles your chance of winning the interaction
Cause us diamonds start smurfing after hitting diamonds in 3 days, cause of cheaters at high ranks
Lol, the first game back in Olympus, and I got a 2k and 2nd place. It might not sound impressive to most, but I'm proud of it.

11:05 What do you mean you couldn't do it on console? You could swap the weapon attachements from one gun to the other just fine, but yes the binding was also swapped on console. It used to be X to swap and A to drop (xbox controller of course), and they swapped the binds.

Ottr, I have the same issue on Xbox I got used to switching attachments but it’s different now, so annoying due to habit of switching attachments
Ottr, great vid again but i have a suggestion. Maybe move your head to show killfeed. Sometimes your talking about the feed but we cannot see it.

There was a post on the apexlegends sub where a dude had 2.5k packs with numerous event packs/legendaries he hadn’t opened them & said he’d only do so when cross progression is implemented so that they wouldnt be stuck to 1 system

DUDE! They did the same change on controller! Now to switch weapon attachments you have to press A/X instead of X/[]. Don’t know why they changed the default mapping after so long 🤷🏽♂️
I dont like that they removed worlds edge i wish they had removed the map who has only been out the game 1 season since its release

Console swapped the interact and jump button for inventory stuff too it’s super annoying for muscle memory
First day it was back my buddy and I duo'd and landed only docks, we got #2 or #1 every game. Went up like 4 tiers straight into diamond.
Did you now that if you are flying with Valkyrie in firing range and then switch legend you will jump super high

You should do
The Do and donts of real live examples in your games.
What not to do with examples are really underrated.
So do not die and i have couple of example for it if you die and your teammate dies you isntantly lose the game and you have to load back into the menu.

I think you just hold jump against a wall to climb right? Pretty simple
You don't need that many shield cells. 4 bats and 8 cells is all you need. Carry more nades.

Im on console and the switching sights thing messed me up so many times because it slowed me down before fights and ended up making me late to help my teammates . Its a stupid change
Dude it's so bad. There's been several times where I've just dropped the sights thinking it swapped and I just pull out an iron sight sniper. Lol

They should add a legend where his abilities revolve around keeping people on the ground. Like a true nemesis to horizon. If a pathfinder grapples he can force him back on the ground with his ability octane jumpads gravity cannons whatever sends people flying in the air. This wouldnt matter to a lot of ground legends but would be a great counter for the aerial legends. Yes that should be his tactical with a 20 second cooldown. idk what his ultimate could be.

Well they add olympus and now the game suddenly crashes endgame. Imagine getting over 100 points and potentially winning a game to the server crashing and the match not counting.

stormpoint is shit in pubs but it's the best next to worlds edge in ranked. olympus is the worst for ranked

All fair points tbh, the point I was tryna make is that this is the first season in a very long time where respawn feels like they’re actually putting some type of effort into the game, the QOL changes and meta changes in the beginning of the season along with the new LTM and Mixtape makes the season feel fresh
