Congratulations Sir, i am a curator and i have known your organization for a while now. Keep up the good work and greetings from Bamenda, Cameroon, West Africa.
Dear Louis, I wanted to take a moment to thank and congratulate you on the incredible contribution you've made to South African artists through the creation of the Norval Art Museum. Although I have only visited the site on the web, I am truly amazed by the space you’ve built and the platform it provides for all art loving South Africans. Well done, Louis, your vision has created something exceptional. Baie Dankie. Rob Abraham
I am struck by how there is no reflection on ideas about exposing 'previously' disadvantaged children to a garden for the first time, and re-educating Africans about their 'fauna and flora', how paternalistic. The political is really in our understanding about outreach, charity and social responsibility, especially in Cape Town, and in South Africa in general.
