Thanks for all your support! These are affiliate links so they do provide some support to the channel, so I can more videos!
Thanks again, always come back to this vid because stacks are illogical
Thanks a lot. I was having trouble figuring out how to mount host drives into docker, you showed me how.
Thanks, I think I'll be sticking to stacks, it's so much simpler
Enough detail to teach me but also keep it fast and simple. So many videos either dive deep into confusing details or leave them out altogether stating “it’s so easy just paste here and you’re good” with not even a hint of what could go wrong.
Well done! 🤘🏻😆🤘🏻
Thanks!
thanks, finally I was able to understand how assign and manage "bind" Volume paths :D
Stumbled upon this, was able to learn a few points I was not aware of, thanks!
thank you so much man, if you it wasn't for you I'd be scrolling through forums for hours confused as hell
Agree with you that the container config in portainer is not very intuitive. Although after watching this i finally understand how it works. I haven't used it once i found the stacks page, which i use for individual and multiple images. I find it much easier to modify the text than navigate the gui. Plus can save the stack and easily redeploy on another machine.
Hmm, using this make me wonder if I should deploy containers through the CLI instead, it seems backwards and counterintuitive to have to reference the documentation with the portainer UI (as opposed to copy/pasting the command or compose file). Maybe portainer should be exclusively used just to manage the containers, once they're created.
Yes, people do both.
Thak you very much! Great video! You have a folloer for life :)
Good video as usual. Love it, very helpful.
thanks. Any chance you could do an updated video on installing haugene/transmission-openvpn via portaner for omv6? i need my hand held for this and i cant find any up to date tutorials.
Que buenas explicacion..!!!! Thank you.
Hi techno Dad, was hoping you could make an updated video on how to install portainer. New open media vault update dosent have easy installation button in the omv-extras tab. Thanks for the great tutorials, really helps for people with no experice!
He literally made a video on how to do that, linked in the video description...
isn't it much easier to just copy/paste the docker command directly in terminal and run in 1 click?
thank you for this video😁
Hello, thank you for all your tutorials! They helped me alot! I have one question. I have 4gb of ram, also i have another stick of 2gb of ram. Will it work with 6gb? Will that slow down omv? Because it won't be in dual channel.
It generally won't matter on a server.
Does OMV support SSD caching like other network attached storage operating systems?
You have to implement yourself. I read an interesting article where it stated that ssd caching doesn't actually speed up things and can slow things down.
@@TechnoDadLife interesting. Sounds controversial IMO. I'd be interested in reading what you found.
Good grief... What a pain. Thanks!
Amazing video! Also, I felt like less of a dumb guy after you talked about the UI. TERRIBLE UI design.
what bs
this needs to be made MUCH MORE SIMPLE
