Prior to put the silicon in the back, protect the inside with tape, place the batterie, clip the back to the radio. So, when putting silcon, it will not go inside.

What I have done is to use 2 14500 (AA size) Lithium batteries with 4 dummy AA batteries in the emergency battery case. Works well.
