‘Hardly surprising’: IDF lands critical blow on Hamas as Netanyahu rejects ceasefire call

- Sky News host Chris Kenny says it is “hardly surprising” to see Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reject the ceasefire call put up by the US and backed by many countries alongside the EU.
“We saw the ceasefire plan put up by the US President Joe Biden, it was backed by Australia, ten other countries and the EU and I told you then immediately it made no sense,” Mr Kenny said.
“It was weak from Biden … It is obvious if you keep Hezbollah and Hamas in place you will only perpetuate war not end it.”

Agreed, the strategy is simple (1) remove Hamas leadership (2) remove Hezbollah leadership and (3) remove Iranian leadership. The countries that want a cease fire avoid the fact there was a ceasefire in place on Oct 6th 2023, this was broken by Hamas on Oct 7th, 2023 followed by Hezbollah on Oct 8th, 2023. Add to this the failure of the UN from 2006 onward to prevent the build up of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Finally, no country like the US or UK would tolerate the continued murder of its people, calls for the destruction of its people or the launching of ~ 8,000 missiles (just by Hezbollah) into its sovereign territory by a terrorist organisation or national force. The Iranian leadership that supports, funds, arms its genocidal fellow travellers will likely face the consequences of its actions.
Some Western countries could use some better leaders. They are not all that smart.
You can’t find a leader in the world like Netanyahu, because he has to be the bravest and the strongest to be able to protect his nation existence.

Worse. The irony was that they were calling for "a ceasefire from Israel". In other words, no matter what Hezbollah or Hamas does. And where were their frantic ceasefire calls every day for the last 11 months (with action) to stop Hezbollah firing rockets into Israel daily? They almost sound like terrorists themselves, or at least terrorist sympathizers!
Only when Israel finally responds after being terrorized for 11 straight months, now they are suddenly worried about a ceasefire.
