You are such an amazing patient mom!! New moms out there... if you’re feeling overwhelmed by a baby that will not stop crying, it’s OKAY to put your baby in a safe place and walk away for a few minutes to compose yourself!!! Your baby will be ok for a few minutes by themselves in a safe place. Or find someone you can trust who will not lose their cool with a crying baby to watch your baby for a while so that you can remove yourself from the situation and get a little rest. God bless all you new moms out there, especially moms who have babies that cry constantly for whatever reason. Just know it will pass eventually.

My son was just this up until like last week, he is getting better at 4 months. Yoh he is FUSSY!!! I used to break down and cry because i just had no idea what to do. Yoh i cant tell you how good it feels to see a mama that went through the same thing, all the mamas on RUclips have these perfect babies that sleep all night by themselves at 3 weeks! Ah you have no idea how this made me feel normal.

You are doing so good mama!
This brought me back to 15 years ago with my first son. Reflux, colic, projectile vomiting, reflux meds, doctors visits, losing too much weight from the vomiting, not sleeping at all unless being carried!!
You are doing everything perfectly and mama you will get through this! I teared up watching this because you have so much patience and strength even through the sleep deprived, exhausted, emotional delirium!
Jackson is so lucky to have picked you for his mommy and I promise you you will look back at this feeling so much stronger and have learned so much about yourself and how strong you are!
I had another boy 3 years after my first and he was a super angel baby and so easy! They are now 12 and 15 ...NOW again god had a huge surprise plan for me to start all over again at 46 with a surprise third boy🙏 He is 4 months old now and we are just starting to get past colic and sleep issues.
I came across your channel last week in search of info on sleep training and found yours with Riley, I can’t tell you how relieved and optimistic I felt after watching your video knowing that I will soon get some sleep again.. at 47 i need much more than my 30s!
Keep doing what your doing mama, you are doing so good! Looking forward to watching his progress over the next few months.

My first was like that - it’s extremely frustrating and utterly exhausting so please try to take lots of small breaks whenever you can and remember this won’t last forever. As soon as they grow a bit older and their digestive system matures things will change and you’ll soon forget just how hard the early weeks were. Hang in there - it really will get easier soon. Xx

Hi mama, my LO had very similar issues with reflux. Omeprazole worked for my son, 2.5ml 2x daily. I also saw in a previous blog that you're going dairy-free. My son is intolerant to dairy and soy. My gastroenterologist told us that soy has a very similar protein structure to dairy, so babies with dairy intolerance usually are intolerant to soy too. We went on omeprazole and gave up dairy/soy at 7 weeks and it worked so well! It took about 6 weeks for everything to normalize, but it's like having a new baby. My son is now 5.5 months old and thriving. I'm definitely not a doctor, just sharing my experience! Good luck with everything. I hope Jackson feels better asap and gives you some relief!

    • @samanthab5006
      @samanthab5006 Год назад

Did removing soy help? I'm vegan and my son started with reflux at 2 weeks (a week ago). I already do not eat dairy and cut out soy a few days ago. It is really hard for me to cut out soy as it's one of my main protein sources and I have not noticed a difference yet. I plan to give it two weeks to see if it offers my LO. any relief.

Some of the best baby advice I’ve gotten is for when they’re fussy/upset/screaming at you (lol)... take them outside or put them in water. We’ve had nights where the 5 S’ didn’t do squat for him, he wasn’t hungry, nothing. Baths calm him so well, and being in the carrier outside is great. Literally have walked up and down my driveway with him at night to calm him and then was able to put him to bed. It’s so hard to deal with your baby crying and you just want to help!! So if you see this and try it I hope it helps you guys have a few more good nights. ❤️❤️❤️

You’re so lucky to have your mom with you. My baby would be crying 20 hours straight per day and I would be so alone. No one to help. I totally stopped eating and sleeping, I couldn’t take care of myself and felt so miserable. Some babies are for sure more difficult then others. That teaches us that if you do have the gift of God to have support you should take it!

I know EXACTLY how it is to have a baby that it is never “happy” when awake. We have dealt with the reflux as well, my doula was comforting me with saying it will pass and that he is wonderful baby (which he is, of course:)) but what can i say-it will pass. Now he is 7 months old and from about 4months on we have a nicer times-but i think swaddling helped me after the week 6 on and he was sleeping a bit better. And nowadays he still spits a lot but at least it doesn’t bother him that much anymore. It will be better and until then i wish you a good luck ❤️

I had my second baby in September and the first 6 weeks with him were actual hell. If he wasn't asleep, he was screaming. He was such a grumpy old man. We couldn't figure out if it was reflux, gas, colic, etc. It was awful, especially with a 2 year old also running around and being super needy. We tried gas drops, gripe water, 3 different formulas, and so on. I went back to work at 6 weeks (thank the LAWD!) and it was around that time that his little body just figured it out. At 7 weeks he slept 7 hours straight and I was in absolute shock. He stopped crying all day. Totally different baby. Still don't know what happened. Now he's 4 months old and he is the most chill, sweet, happy boy ever. You've got this, mama. You seem way more patient than I ever was during those first few weeks. This too shall pass.

The first 7-8 weeks of her life she just cried, grizzled and grunted. The doctors (yes I went to multiple) would not give me any medication. They did not want to mess with her still developing digestive system. They said by 8 weeks her digestive system with be more developed and she will improve. And thank god she did! She’s 4 months now. My grandparents and mom took shifts. I’d be in my dads arms as soon as he got home from work to bounce me and settle my belly. Also never lay them flat always try to have him a little bit upright and laying on his left side which is better for digestion. Live with family as long as possible honestly...

I'm from Sweden so pardon my english! I think you're an amazing mom!
My baby are probably allergic to milk (protein from cow milk) and it helped alot losing the dairy in both our diets. We went to the doctor and they told me what to do. You lose som food containing calcium so you have to compensate for that. I'm breastfeeding mostly. He is still passning gas but it dosn't hurt. Mine has trouble pooping sometimes and the Windy helps him start the process. I use bumcreme (for sore bums) and does a little wiggle if it dosn't work. Bellymassages helps alot too every time we change a diaper. He dosn't poop every time but he is passning gas alot. To feed smal amounts more often shall help but I havn't tried that yet.

@@katm7110 To clarify LACTOSE INTOLERANCE and COWMILK ALLERGY are two different things. I am lactose intolerant myself and can't process milksugar but I can eat and drink lactosefree products made out of all types of animalmilk. My son is allergic to protein from cowmilk and can't eat or drink anything made out of cowmilk, not even lactosefree products. If they are extremely allergic and eats cowmilk you can end up with an anaphylactic chock and die but if you're sensitive to lactose you only get stomach ache and an uppset stomach.

One thing I did notice was the grunting and my pediatrician told us the grunting is due to the reflux as well and not gas. Yes, you can help him. Try holding him in a chair position facing away from you over a diaper, sink or bowl ( that way his legs are close to his belly and the baby is in a physiological position to poo) wait a minute and I promise, he will poop or let wind. No windy or anything like that needed. We started doing this with my daughter after I heard of this tip and she did not suffer even though she still had gassiness.
About reflux: here in Germany the doctors are not in a hurry diagnosing with reflux. They say as long as the baby is gaining weight ok to not be worried and not treat it with anything. No drops of any kind, no probiotics, nothing. The gut is building its microbiome naturally and it's normal for babies to have some kind of upset sometimes.

I saw on Shay Mitchell's Instagram that when she traveled with her infant she used the Baby Banz hearing earmuffs, I'm not sure if it helps at all with the air pressure though. I am thinking of trying them out when I travel with my infant sometime in the upcoming months.

The windi works pretty well, but I didn't like aggravating my baby's little booty too much, so we did "bicycle legs" a lot. BUT what ended up working the very best was helping him toot by putting him on his back, bending his legs in froggy position, and gently pressing his knees up to his tummy (obviously don't do this right after a meal haha). I was always a little afraid to hurt him, but my husband was a champ at getting him to fart. We did it every night before bed and as needed during the day, and it was SO HELPFUL.

my kids keeps resisting and pushing his legs if i ever try to do bicyle legs on him. I guess he would rather stay gassy and fussy.

It sounds like you are going threw EXACTLY what I did with my son. He also had GERDS/Reflux and colic. It's sooo challenging to deal with. I think the hardest part was not being able to comfort him and he was fussy for hours after feeding him and I'd get him calm as well right until he was about to eat again. It will get better. It finally started to ease up when my son was around 7-8 months and when he could begin to sit up by himself. Please let me know if you ever need to ask advice or just to vent or talk. I know how difficult it is etc. Your doing a great job momma 💙💙

    Hey,
Thank you for your video. I'm trying to survive now with my first baby. He is 1,5 month and literally I have no time for rest at all. I even can't afford myself to drink enough water, because I can't leave him while he is crying out loud.
It is colics as Doctor says. My husbands dad said that my husband was the same type of baby, he didn't sleep at all, cried everytime.
The worst thing is that all my friends does not have such problem and they cannot understand me. Sometimes I feel so terrible, like I am the worst mom and don't deserve my sweet baby boy. I had infertility and struggled for my pregnancy for 2 years and here we go, I am mommy, but instead of being thankful for it I am crying and feeling depressed because seeing my baby is crying and suffering is so hard!

He reminds me of my daughter at the age. I hope it gets better for you very soon ❤ Reflux, colics and spit up ain't easy. My daughter was and still is "the grumpy" of the house. She laughed for the first time at 10 month old & at 3 years old still miss grumpy 😂 My son laughed at 7-8 weeks & is still such a happy boy at 2! Can't wait to see our baby #3. Hopping he will be like his brother 😂❤

You. Are. Amazing. 💛 thank you for being vulnerable enough to share your real life. It can be such an incredibly exhausting and stressful season. The windii does work really good! My daughter tends to be most gassy in the early morning and I do the belly massage and then use the windii, and then a warm belly wrap (happi tummies on amazon.)

Oh you sound just like me a couple of months ago. My son had gas and reflux as well. I was trying everything to comfort him but he kept on crying and i cried about every day. Untill i realised i could not help him with the reflux and gas. I thought all i can do is comfort him trhu it. I kept rocking him and telling him it will pass and he will feel better after a couple months. So the first three months were so hard, he was on me 24/7, day and night. But it will get better, you do all that you can and you can not "fix" the problems but you can guide him. Sorry english is not my main language but i hope it helped you out a little bit. ❤️ You are an amazing mom, never forget that

Awe he is adorable! It’s such a hard period little ones go through at that time. Both my girls had trouble settling around that age. It gave me a lot of comfort when I read somewhere that newborns have to learn the skill of moving their bowels & passing gas. That’s gotta be uncomfortable! Especially when you think of how tiny their little tummies are. Hang in there! You’re doing great!

Our little boy is 4.5months now. Some tips...
To help with reflux get the MAM bottles with the hotels in the bottom (don’t use completely sealed bottomed bottle) - they help let the air out when he sucks and supposedly reduces reflux. Ours was bad (still can be) but we use the MAM bottles and Infacol. You could also try GripeWater.
Tap the pacifier. It encourages them to suck. (Our problem now is trying to get him to get himself back off to sleep when he wakes in the night so we don’t have to go in and put the dummy back in)
DIY DockaTot/Sleepyhead trick: take an empty pillow case, then take a large towel and roll it into a sausage. Put the sausage towel into the pillow case like a horseshoe... works a treat!
Also, if he’s in a Moses basket or similar and there’s quite a bit of space around, then roll up a couple of small towels and put either side of him... again, worked a treat!
Also also, raise it at the head end slightly (eg fold a towel a couple of times and place under the head end of the carry cot/Moses basket). Was recommended by the hospital and has always helped.
Good luck, keep at it! We had a difficult baby (reflux, exaggerated startle reflex, no more than 20min naps through the day and no more than an hour or two overnight) but we’re working through it and each step in the right direction is a win!

Have you tried adjusting your diet? My baby had horrible reflux and colic (so I can relate!), and even though she tested negative for a milk protein allergy, I cut out dairy, and it helped immensely!

We tried the Windy and it did a great job for us. My son didn’t liked it at first and I actually was about to give up because he was crying so much... but after couple of tries a lot of “stuff “ came out and he definitely felt better. We did it almost every night for like 2 1/2 months. I am very happy we decided to use it. We also held him across our arm with his tummy down - that seem to help a lot too. He was falling asleep very easy that way - just the tricky part was putting him into bed in that position. Good luck, I hope little squish feels better soon. It is really frustrating to see your own little peanut struggle and not being able to help him.

I went through something similar with Carson and I just remember telling him “it’s a good thing you’re so cute!” 😂 but I used to wrap him up really tight in a fuzzy blanket when he was screaming his head off and Id make sure it went around his head and I’d call him my angry Eskimo, but it worked almost every time to soothe him and he’d fall asleep!
