Salah is not only the 10th leading Premier League scorer of all time with 160 goals and quickly closing in on the Top 5. But he’s also the 15th leading all time assist leader in Premier League history with 72 and quickly closing in on being in the Top 10 for assists. What a legend.

We love all the beauty and thrill he creates but Liverpool FC is a business, it doesn't have the same relationship with fans and players as fans have with it and as players have with fans - I'd be surprised if they come up with the right number to keep him - I wonder if Tottenham have it in them to make a team to take the cup in 2026

As a Liverpool fan myself i would obviously give Salah a 2-3 year deal and keep him for the rest of his career here. He is simply the greatest premier league winger that has ever graced the league in my opinion and his numbers surpass every single winger that has played in the premier league.
The comments he said today was as much as pointing out that hes open for the club to offer him a new deal as much as stating that if he doesent get one then obviously he will leave and move on to something else, a lot of players do this when they are in there final year of there contract.

He still has 2 years easily. Messi still playing. Have u notice nunez isn't getting much game time there's a reason for it. Nunez is an aggressive player with not so much control a klopp player. But the other players jota diaz alex slabo salah are better technically than nunez. They are more aware of the pitch where to move too where to pass to. Nunez just a clumsy athlette speed power without control is useless

Liverpool need to keep Salah around about as much as they needed to keep Coutinho or Suarez around. No more, no less. You go on to bigger and better things.
I mean I think he should end his career at Liverpool then go on to be coaching staff when he's done, but they'll equally have exactly zero problem living without him - they'll go out and find the next Salah. He looks sharp and happy and it kinda feels like possibly Slot suits him more than Klopp did, but, y'know, sooner or later he's going to have to retire, particularly in the position he plays, so it's always going to be a problem even if he signs a 4 year contract tomorrow.

It's always something that has bothered with regards to some ex-Liverpool legends in particular Stevie and Souness. They have often downplayed Salah's achievements at Liverpool and even said some not so good things about him. Especially Souness. What so many commentators fail to realise or at least mention when criticising Klopp's team over the last two season's is that he was rebuilding ("Liverpool 2.0"). It takes time to get the team to play his high risk football so well that there is ultimately minimal risk. It is a simple system in theory, but difficult to execute because it requires a very high level of fitness and everyone to be switched on at all times, to know where and when to move. When Klopp's teams reach the level he requires few can stand in their way and the football is a spectacle to watch. With time he would have reached 2018-2021 levels again. We might never get to witness such football at LFC again.

The Premier League should not allow Liverpool to let Salah go or Man City to let KDB go because they giving Laliga famous Messi vs Ronaldo rival . It must be mandatory for the image of the league
The Premier league would never hit the same 🤞🏿😭🇿🇦

Exactly. I am more than fed up with the frugality of FSG and John W Henry. Their priority is saving every penny they can.

The last time LFC gave the great man a contract his performance dipped slightly im hoping this is just a strategic move by Edwards to keep him hungry, need we forgot Edwards and co have only just got back to LFC them selfs and likeky need more time to plot the patch fowards for LFC
Their first move was to go for Slot a moved roundly laughed at by rivals and pundits alike. So far its looking like that old Edwards ELITE magic is wholly intact, guve him time to get the other pieces into place including the right contract offers for the world class 3 on their last year

Stevie showed exactly how bad his footballing knowledge is when he said, "Why is Gravenberch playing" at Ipswich. He is absolutely clueless.
Hasn't he ever seen him play??
Edit: There's more after I listened longer.
Stevie: I hope he's not slapping people in the back and still talking about the chances we gave away.
Slot: Exactly what he said in his post-match interview.

On paper easily, but difficult in practice. He should leave for Saudi league, win/win. Liverpool needs to think about the future and not be saddled with a 35-36 year old Salah who has declined like the Ronaldo of 2022.
