I never had the issue described in the video. I did, however, have this weird display issue, where one solid body would suddenly become wireframe-"ish" (somewhat similar to, but not quite equivalent to when you choose the wireframe view) - while other solid bodies would display as usual. Drove me crazy! Unchecking the "enhanced graphics performance" in the settings under "performance" (as you suggest in the video) solved the problem! Thanks a million! 👍
@@forgeproductdevelopment We have a book that our professor assigns problems from, but now we're working on reverse engineering the parts of pretty much anything we want, making an assembly, and then making animations for the movement of the assembly. I chose to do a can opener lol.
In case anyone finds it useful, it also solved a very annoying bug that ALWAYS made a new part invisible when displaying it as "Shaded with edges", and I had to reopen the part to make it visible. Looked everywhere for a solution without luck, but this did the trick! Thanks!
Thanks! This just started happening with me on the latest 2024 service pack - never had an issue before now, so it's clearly still something SW are having issues with years later than when it first started.
It took me so long to find a solution because I didn't know what the issue was with it. Took me a couple months but you solved my problem is seconds. Thank you!!!
Thank u so much. I had this issue before and i could solve it with starting the program in Windows 8 Compatibility Mode, but i got a new 4k monitor and the same issue again. But now its resolved!
I never had this Issue with SW 2021 until i updated Nvidia drivers, I thought my setup was pretty decent to handle this option(3070, i& 10 gen and 16GB ram) guess i was wrong. Thank you good man for the help.
Power is only one factor. Solidworks has a list of approved hardware, and problems like this arise when you deviate from it. The program will still run, but you can find minor issues like this bug. When I am buying new equipment, I refer to this list for guidance: www.solidworks.com/support/hardware-certification/
Works also well on Solidworks 2022 on WIN 11 (Nvidia Quadro P1000)! In my case, the "hide component" option in assemblies resulted in a graphics bug where the highlighted surface of the component remained visible, very annoying! Do you know the reason for that, is this "enhanced performance" feature still experimental? In your experience, do you see any improvement in performance with this feature turned on?
I just bought a new pc and it has been driving me crazy over the last two months 🤯.. It was pretty annoying that my older laptop didn't have that issue 😅
Yeah, when looking to buy a new system, I always check SolidWork's hardware compatibility list. It can help avoid some of these issues (but not all lol).
This thing got me twice !! in first situation i got crazy and deleted wholo program and it happened now hopefully i wathced your video greetings from Franke factory
This issue was driving me crazy. Thanks for a fast, easy solution!
You're welcome!
@@forgeproductdevelopment Thank you SOOOO much. I wonder what it was supposed to "enhance"?
Agreed!
+1K Views! Are you kidding me?!? Thank you all so much!
man you saved me a lot of time I was going to delete and re install the whole thing thank you very much.
Glad I could help

Glad it helped! Seems like these type of graphical issues are computer/video card/driver dependent.

Fixed my issue and it was one of the first things that popped up when I searched so thanks for this good sir!

Glad you got it sorted out.
Thank you so much. I have an assignment due tomorrow and this glitch was making it really hard to get the parts done for it.
Happy to help. Good luck! What are you working on?

@@mrchefchef Nice, that should be a fun challenge. Are you modeling top down or bottom up?

Thank you for letting us know!
Same issue solved for me too!

Crazy to hear that this is still happening. May need to redo the video for 2024 as well. What graphics card are you using?
THANK YOU!! So simple yet it does the job perfectly
It took me so long to find a solution because I didn't know what the issue was with it. Took me a couple months but you solved my problem is seconds. Thank you!!!

Thanks!! I have an Nvidia 1650ti mobile and this started to happen after after installing the latest drivers.
Yeah driver updates are always a roll of the dice. Sometimes they make things worse and the other times it doesn't seem to change anything. haha
