This is excellent! I am a retired nutritionist(human), and ashamed to say I had no idea that dogs were prone to this with high fat(assuming that carnivores thrived on fat, especially animal fats). Currently my pup is suffering, has been to vet and will be fed differently from now on. Never stop learning. THANK YOU!

My dog is suffering with pancreatitis right now I don’t know what to do, two weeks ago I took him to a veterinarian clinic they just gave me and antibiotics and a pancreazyme tablet for 10 days but one he finished he started to feel bad again and now he is suffering, and those clinics charged so much money that I don’t have any more !!!! They don’t even asked me how was his diet, what type of food I have to give to him, if my dog could have others treatments !!! I am in Los Angeles and the Veterinarian Doctors here forgot why they studied their carrier don’t have any compassion for animals !!!!

@@pattys6010 hi in the vet clinic they did and ultrasound or X- ray to your dog to check what is happening inside his organs? That is very important, I am so sorry to hear your baby is suffering from pancreatitis!!!!! Is the worst that a dog can have and is very very sad 😢 look how they suffering because it gives them lot of pain, take him back to the clinic I know it is expensive and the vets don’t have any compassion but maybe your baby can have more hope to survive ! My baby did suffer of a lot of pain and I suffered with him look at him with his pain was the most horrible days of my life !!! And he passed las December and I can’t forget all his suffering, the pain in my heart is very deep I have not been able to overcome it, when they have pancreatitis they must have a special diet and they must eat in small amounts several times a day, because their pancreas does not help to dissolve the food that is why they vomit the food when his pancreas is bad, if it continues bad it is necessary to hospitalize him as soon as possible so that they give him intravenous medicine and do not get dehydrated, I hope he can get better soon, I wish him to recover with all my heart, be strong and have a lot of faith that he would get better ❤️.

@@angiejoshi2545 You making blank statement that you know that Vets don't care. Do you work for free? Do you think that they go through lengthy schooling for much lower return than human doctors because they don't care about the pets? Perhaps go volunteer at the Vet for few days and then see if you still feel this way.

@@makb5354 I am a veterinary assistant and I know very well when a clinic really works for the good of the animals, and many veterinary doctors only work for a salary and totally lose the value for which they studied veterinary medicine, they do not have that compassion for a being innocent who needs help, studying veterinary medicine is not to become rich, the salaries are NOT that high or good but you study that career is for the love of animals, that decision is made to have compassion for them, if they no longer like working in veterinary medicine They should look for another job and give a chance to those who do want to work thinking about helping animals with love and passion!!! so shut up

Table scraps of meat, even chicken with little fat can cause my dogs attack, weird happens only sometimes. Also glucosamine vitamin for dogs caused an attack and had to discontinue on one dog and other was fine with it, just a sensitive stomach, my dog loves food but unable to eat human food because never know when it’s going to cause an attack. She whines, stretches, sticks bottom up and hides under bed and closet and will be up all night whining when attacks happen.

i started giving my dog probiotic and digestive enzymes a few months before his very severe what we think is a pancreatitus attack; repeated vomiting and diahrea, lethargy and just all around very unwell for over a week and still trying to recover. Now i google and find out that "probiotic can be harmful for pancreatitus"!

My dog is in a stressed starvation state because of pancreatitis, how much L-Glutamine and L-Arginine should I give him? His magnesium is also low in blood, how much magnesium supplement should I give? He has been on 1L of lactated ringer Sub-Q for two weeks already. Eating 350g of royal canin GI low fat can food daily.

Hmmm, not sure what to think of this, she seems a bit unsure too. Too much focus on force feeding and no other options or suggestions, my dog won’t eat, I can’t give a feeding tube at home. If people could afford vets they wouldn’t be here.

white rice cooked with really smelly wthite fish or chickenbonebroth or lean chickenbroth is often easy to make a dog eat when they are not feeling well.
