What damages from oil and gas? Are you talking about the odd spill of oil lol, you would have a heart attack at the amount of oil that naturally spills into the environment every year. Oh and that nuclear waste can easily be recycled and used again. The only negative the plants that recycle it (and generate power while doing it) also can be used to make nuclear weapons, which is the only reason they are not widespread. Fossil fuels and nuclear fuels are still the cleanest and most energy-efficient of all the power sources bar none and don't give me any crap about the TINY amount of warming we have caused over the natural warming we have had over the last 200 years.
