A lovely piece of filming there of Truro in it's prime, so reminds me of my youth especially seeing the old parking spaces in Victoria Square outside the Bristol & West which is now Rowe's the bakers! I used to frequent alot of these old shops & establishments including County Man barbers where Subway sandwich takeaway is now....great memories of looking out the window while waiting for a haircut. Dewhursts the butcher and Newman's & Fosters clothing shops....what a blast from the past! This is Truro the way I liked it but then i'm a nolstagic person I suppose! Thanks for uploading....a pleasure to watch!

Malletts and Oggy Oggy and I think Pieros are the only ones I could see. And Argos on Victoria Square.

A lot of the shop names have changed, but not the town itself. Don't think the piazza was there then, just Lemon Quay Car park. Interesting though, would love to see some from the 60s and 70s.

John Stribs Lemon Quay car park was there until around 2001/2 when it was replaced with the piazza. Truro is a lovely place.

Lovely bit of film. Had a business in Pannier Market for 30 years from 1985. Shops were much better in 80s and 90s.

I mean they weren't gutted and empty, it's hardly stiff competition nowadays!

Which store was yours? I used shop for so much in the Pannier Market. In fact I still have a Donnay tennis racket I bought from there around 90/91. The amount of Iron Maiden and GnR T-shirts and badges I bought there as well lol.

@@jaynbob42 That would have been from Tito's sports. We had the leathergoods unit on the centre aisle from 1985.

@@Thursdaym2 Nice. Good old days. Always went to Titos’ as well. My ‘uncle’ Amon used to run Arabica as well there. When I bust my school shoes, I’d be up the far end getting ‘em fixed. Hoover bags from the Docrees. Can’t remember their name but my mum painted the pig sign at the butchers as well. At one point or another all of the family worked up the road at the hall for Cornwall. I miss the days but it’ll never be the same again sadly.

A check out the dude at 0:18 with the Hot Tuna T Shirt, snow wash jeans and suit shoes! As an 18 year old Truro boy I recognised this as class! My home town has changed a lot but it's still got the same spirit
