Well not only girls are into BTS. and BTS is not your typical boyband. They have really inspiring songs. They talk about mental health, Self love, Depression and a lot of other things in their lyrics. You are seeing the flashy music videos but when you dive deep into BTS you will find the socially conscious lyrics. they really are genuine to their fans. They have a lot of great songs. I have gotten into BTS for about one and a half year maybe more and I listened to only BTS songs for more than a year like I am not kidding they have such variety in their songs that you don't even feel like you need to listen to other songs. I have seen very few Artists who are as raw and genuine as BTS. I have been listening to a lot of songs and singers my whole life but I never stan anyone it's wasn't my thing I like a good song but don't Stan until BTS . And now I can say that I mfing stan BTS. And I like the fact that the members of BTS are like brothers actually and they support each other even when they are doing their solo stuff not like other groups who try to show that they are good buddies but fail miserably. BTS fanbase is literally the most diverse and unique I’ve ever seen. More then any other kpop fandom or even American artists fandom . Trust me, their fanbase has attracted everyone of all ages and background : kids, teens , college kids , adults even elders . You have no clue how unique BTS .
My advice IF you continue reacting to their videos: 1) The surest way to irritate an Army (BTS fandom) is to say "they look like girls". 2) They don't all look a like. I mean, not being mean, but you three kind of all look a like. Would you appreciate that being said about you three? 3) IF you continue to react most official MV's have English subtitles, just click the "CC" at the bottom of the screen. 4) It's contacts and most Idol groups (Kpop) treat colored contacts as just another fashion accessory. 5) Also, Army is probably the most diverse fandom out there. We’re a very diverse fandom. Ages from young to old, And we all come from different cultures, countries and races. Bts are not teenagers, the youngest is born in 1997 and the oldest in 1992. About them looking the same, they really don’t. Please look more in to them and react to informative videos on who they’re to learn more about each individual (if you’re interested ofc)! Their music is amazingly diverse and it covers a lot of different genres and topics. They write and produce their music, with help from their in-house producers and others. For them , the music is extremely important and they take it very seriously. They write about the younger generation, mental health, loving yourself, the conflict between being an idol and individual and a lot more. Extremely humble and hardworking men who are just about to end their sold out stadium tour which has covered 6 concerts in the US (rose bowl, MetLife stadium and soldier field) , 2 concerts in London (Wembley stadium) , 2 concerts in Paris (stade the france), 2 concerts in Sau Paolo (ALLIANZ PARQUE) : 4 concerts in japan and soon RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA (KING FAHD INTERNATIONAL STADIUM) and 2 concerts in their hometown, Seoul. And also: kpop is not really a genre. It’s an industry with a lot of different elements. Many in our fandom (army) do not call bts kpop, we do not like to limit them to the kpop industry but rather look at them as korean artists/group who has expanded to be global. I'm a 49yr old half Japanese American man. My 3 teenage daughters turned me on to BTS a few years ago and we have been to two concerts in New York. These boys are the most talented entertainers to come along in decades. Each one is talented and gifted in their own way but equally incredible. As a group they are the biggest thing since the Beatles. The BTS Army is very very diverse from ages, race, political back grounds to everything. But the love of this talented group of young men is what brings us all together.
Typical is something they are not. They are a super group of talented artists and BTS is a brotherhood who are good people. They started out as teens/young adults, but they are now all in their 20s now (22-26) :)
DNA would definitely be their break out song in America, but Blood Sweat and Tears was their breakout song in Korea. Before Blood Sweat and Tears, they didn't get much recognition at all in their country. The fact that so many of you are pressed on their first honest reaction to them and leaving unkind comments is not a good representation of those who support BTS, I get it, a lot of the times some say "they look like girls because they wear makeup/dye their hair" or "they look alike", and it can be demeaning, but you have to be able to tell the difference you can tell this time it meant no harm. Kpop groups have the option of using instruments or not but actual kpop bands don’t really have that option unless they get trained otherwise (bopping their heads and moving around a stage doesn’t qualify as dancing). BTS IS A GROUP BUT THEY ALSO CONSIDER THEMSELVES AS FAMILY (STRONG POSITIVE GENUINE BROTHERHOOD, even though theyre not related at all.
If you are not used to seeing a specific race, they do tend to look similar. For the most part, I don't think Koreans suffer from "machismo." USA does as well as some other countries but BTS are beautiful in a good way. Because of the positive message in their songs delivered in a way that is pleasing to listeners, they attract a diversity of fans ranging in race, age, culture, gender identity, etc. I hope you react to more BTS.
KPOP is Korean POP, not a genre. BTS made many music genre. Example: Butterfly, Untold Truth is pop ballad, Singularity by V (one of the BTS member) have R & B vibe, etc.

There are 7 members in BTS. 4 vocalists and 3 rappers. 4 of the members are part of the official BTS 'dance line' but as you can see all of the members dance very well. Some info on the members -Jin: Jin is 26 years old, the oldest in BTS, and is one of the groups four vocalists -Suga: Suga is also 26 and second oldest. He is one of BTS's rappers -Jhope: Jhope is the sunshine of the group, always smiling and energetic. He is an amazing dancer as he street danced for 10 years before entering BTS. He is 25 years old and the 3rd rapper in BTS, as well as part of the dance line. -RM: RM is really the glue to this group. He was the first member in BTS and therefore the leader. He is the only member that speaks English and does very well at translating, doing interviews, and giving speeches for BTS. He is 25 and I guess the middle child 😂. RM is the main rapper for BTS. -Jimin: Jimin is my love. He is 23 years old, although his birthday is in a few days on the 13th which will make him 24. He was trained in contemporary, hip hop, and popping and locking. He is a vocalist for BTS and the second member to the dance line. -V: V is the second youngest in BTS but him and Jimin were born in the same year which makes them the same age in Korea. V is known for his very deep and soulful voice as well as his unique facial feautures. He is a vocalist in BTS and the newest addition to the dance line. -Jungkook: JK is the maknae of the group, which is what the youngest member is called in Korea, and just turned 22 last month. Jungkook is called the golden maknae due to his tendency to be good at everything. Singing, rapping, dancing, track, bowling, archery, gaming, and basically anything else he tries. He is the baby and his hyungs (word for a close male friend that is older) still tend to care for him like he is a child. Jungkook is the last vocalist and 4th member in BTS dance line. You will see a lot of Jungkook as he has many lines in their songs and is normally at the center of dance formations. I'm sorry for how long this is. I tried not to tell you too much but I get really passionate about BTS. On the non-toxic side we appreciate honest reactions and like to know your opinion even if it is not in favor of BTS, but I just ask that you respectfully address it and stop reactions if you dont like them, as I understand they are not for everyone. I see a lot of people attacking you guys because you said they looked alike or they looked like girls, but I completely understand where you come from. I am a newer army and when I first discovered BTS I could not distinguish them to save my life, it takes a little while and lots of practice but you will eventually begin to recognize them. And as for them looking like girls, people automatically assume it as an insult or a bad thing but many of the members do have what we would associate with feminie features especially Jimin and they are beautiful. But army really dont like to hear either of these things as BTS has had many haters use these things to put them down in the past. First impressions are the same majority of the time and that's okay! No judgement there. I didn't think they looked anything alike when I first saw them but that's neither here nor there. Every opinion is different and I can respect that. However, please excuse my rant (not really aimed at you but mostly at the media): [ TLDR at the bottom ] I blame the media for pushing the idea that BTS are a “typical boy band” and that’s why so many people have this prejudice and preconceived notion that bts are just for teen girls that go crazy. Also, that BTS are just like other kpop groups. Kpop is great but BTS really doesn’t fit into that category for a multitude of reasons so people really misunderstand. Back to the notion that fans are all girls. Even footage from media (news and entertainment programs) of bts concerts only show the screaming girls. Meanwhile, if you actually go to a concert you see men, women, children, all ages. It’s so disappointing that media is downplaying them and trying to fit them into this box and make them seem less impressive because teen girls like their music. Like, first of all give teen girls more credit! Second, bts music and content references so much literature and philosophy and even psychology that you have to freaking study that shht to understand it. Which means they’ve got fans who are in it for the quality of their content, not just to go crazy over looks. But who cares if you like their style and look anyway? Like what you like and don’t judge people for what they like. I admire some of the really androgynous styles they’ve gone for. Jungkook even said that great style is wearing anything you like regardless of gender. But the boys are all boys and diminishing their masculinity isn’t cool either especially when Asians get shht for that all the time in Western countries. At this point I don’t think they give a fvck what anyone says about their looks because they’ve heard it all, but fans are still gonna defend them every day, any day. TLDR: BTS have depth and they don’t get credit for it often enough because people concentrate on the superficial.
@@biddienation8715 I think you guys are off to a great start! Once you start looking at lyrics of songs like Fake Love, Epiphany, etc. you'll see such a great artistic side of them! Haha, more info coming your way if you're interested (another TLDR at the end): DNA is a great song, but it's actually a small part of a bigger picture. It's from the album "Love Yourself: Her", which is a four part series called the Love Yourself Series. The series is made up of three albums and one short film. It ties into another, longer story that bts have been telling though their music for a really long time, since about 2015 (possibly since they first started in 2013 but that's up for debate, haha). DNA is happy and bright and the lyrics are super sweet and romantic with this idea that love is meant to be, and that it will turn into a happy ever after fantasy. But... BUT. It's just the first part of the story. (By the way, the story is not chronological, which makes it really confusing UGH but you can watch videos to explain it, just search for "bts universe explained"). The rest of the story gets very very dark. So although DNA may have given you an impression that BTS music is bright and pop-py and super sickly sweet, oh boy. I recommend listening to Outro: Tear for an angry wake up call. BTS have an huge range of music for pretty any mood, I kid you not. I've got whole playlists of just bts music sorted by mood and genre and there's a lot of them haha!!!! Anyway, I hope you continue to give BTS a chance, especially give their music and lyrics a chance. Epiphany really gets to a lot of people. Jin sings it (don't worry, it's a solo song but all the members have solo songs so it's not a case of one member being more popular or breaking away from the group. They just encourage each other and value each other's individuality and don't restrict them to just group songs). And just because someone is pretty doesn’t mean they “look like a girl.” :/ I could tell them all apart, except for Jin and Jungkook in the beginning for some super strange reason. I associated Jungkook’s face with the “Worldwide Handsome” meme because someone ELSE had attributed that quote to Jungkook’s picture instead of Jin. After that it was a struggle to re-route my thoughts from confusing both of them. So they debuted in 2013 and each if their songs are different in terms of genres i can say lol The eyes thing is just contact lenses,their stylists use this in some of the videos. Well not only girls are into BTS. and BTS is not your typical boyband.
They have really inspiring songs.
They talk about mental health, Self love, Depression and a lot of other things in their lyrics. You are seeing the flashy music videos but when you dive deep into BTS you will find the socially conscious lyrics. they really are genuine to their fans. They have a lot of great songs. I have gotten into BTS for about one and a half year maybe more and I listened to only BTS songs for more than a year like I am not kidding they have such variety in their songs that you don't even feel like you need to listen to other songs. I have seen very few Artists who are as raw and genuine as BTS. I have been listening to a lot of songs and singers my whole life but I never stan anyone it's wasn't my thing I like a good song but don't Stan until BTS . And now I can say that I mfing stan BTS. And I like the fact that the members of BTS are like brothers actually and they support each other even when they are doing their solo stuff not like other groups who try to show that they are good buddies but fail miserably. We’re a very diverse fandom. Ages from young to old, And we all come from different cultures, countries and races. Bts are not teenagers, the youngest is born in 1997 and the oldest in 1992. About them looking the same, they really don’t. Please look more in to them and react to informative videos on who they’re to learn more about each individual (if you’re interested ofc)!
Their music is amazingly diverse and it covers a lot of different genres and topics. They write and produce their music, with help from their in-house producers and others. For them , the music is extremely important and they take it very seriously. They write about the younger generation, mental health, loving yourself, the conflict between being an idol and individual and a lot more. Extremely humble and hardworking men who are just about to end their sold out stadium tour which has covered 6 concerts in the US (rose bowl, MetLife stadium and soldier field) , 2 concerts in London (Wembley stadium) , 2 concerts in Paris (stade the france), 2 concerts in Sau Paolo (ALLIANZ PARQUE) : 4 concerts in japan and soon RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA (KING FAHD INTERNATIONAL STADIUM) and 2 concerts in their hometown, Seoul.
And also: kpop is not really a genre. It’s an industry with a lot of different elements. Many in our fandom (army) do not call bts kpop, we do not like to limit them to the kpop industry but rather look at them as korean artists/group who has expanded to be global. Bts themselves are very open to being called whatever since they don’t like to limit themselves either. It’s enough to say “bts”, you do not have to refer to them as kpop or their music to “kpop”. They make MUSIC.

I'm a 49yr old half Japanese American man. My 3 teenage daughters turned me on to BTS a few years ago and we have been to two concerts in New York. These boys are the most talented entertainers to come along in decades. Each one is talented and gifted in their own way but equally incredible. As a group they are the biggest thing since the Beatles. The BTS Army is very very diverse from ages, race, political back grounds to everything. But the love of this talented group of young men is what brings us all together.

DNA would definitely be their break out song in America, but Blood Sweat and Tears was their breakout song in Korea. Before Blood Sweat and Tears, they didn't get much recognition at all in their country. Four or three years ago, they were nobodies so it's crazy to think they've been awarded the Cultural Merit award by Korea's president and gotten to speak at the United Nations just last year.

bts produce and write their own songs. there are 7 members 4 vocalists and 3 rappers and they all dance. but it’s not all about the looks, they talk about self love, depression, anxiety, mental health etc. the oldest one will turn 27 in december (jin) and the youngest one just turned 22 last month (jungkook). they can speak korean, english and japanese. one member is fluent in english the others are trying their best. if you want to get to know them more you should watch ‘who is bts: the seven members of bangtan’ it’s not that updated but it has a good insight. bts is really versatile with their music. they do pop, edm, hip hop, r&b, rock etc. the thing is kpop is a whole industry with many different genres, people and groups but bts is really special because you won’t find anything like them so we don’t really call them kpop. many armys actually don’t like kpop but only bts. we don’t really like it when someone compares bts to another group bts is bts. please don’t say things like ‘they all look the same’ or ‘they look like girls’ cuz that’s frustrating to some armys because it’s a bit offensive and once u get to know them you’ll realize they look completely different from each other. in the beginning it may be a bit frustrating if you can’t understand them but to every music video there are cc so turn them on. if it says auto generated it’s more likely to be false. one thing they don’t do is lipsync they always give their 100%. there is a storyline within the mvs that’s been around since 6 years and armys still can’t figure it out so the mvs may be a little confusing. also if you want to say something just pause the video we don’t want you to miss important things. the members also do solo stuff and there are also songs with only the rap line or only the vocal line. but anyways it was a good reaction and y’all are cute. here are some music recommendations:

The fact that so many of you are pressed on their first honest reaction to them and leaving unkind comments is not a good representation of those who support BTS, I get it, a lot of the times some say "they look like girls because they wear makeup/dye their hair" or "they look alike", and it can be demeaning, but you have to be able to tell the difference you can tell this time it meant no harm.
It's normal, for some showing 7 different new faces could come across as a shock and they could just end up looking the same due to the limited screen time each member is recieving in the music video and constant switching-- so dont worry ^^ you'll get the gist of their faces in no time if you're still interested in looking into who BTS are as people and artist.

GROUP is a GROUP and BAND is a BAND, theres no such thing as group bands. Kpop groups have the option of using instruments or not but actual kpop bands don’t really have that option unless they get trained otherwise (bopping their heads and moving around a stage doesn’t qualify as dancing). BTS IS A GROUP BUT THEY ALSO CONSIDER THEMSELVES AS FAMILY (STRONG POSITIVE GENUINE BROTHERHOOD, even though theyre not related at all.

If you are not used to seeing a specific race, they do tend to look similar. For the most part, I don't think Koreans suffer from "machismo." USA does as well as some other countries but BTS are beautiful in a good way. Because of the positive message in their songs delivered in a way that is pleasing to listeners, they attract a diversity of fans ranging in race, age, culture, gender identity, etc. I hope you react to more BTS.

BTS debuted in 2013 under the company BigHit. There are 7 members in BTS. 4 vocalists and 3 rappers. 4 of the members are part of the official BTS 'dance line' but as you can see all of the members dance very well. Some info on the members
-Jin: Jin is 26 years old, the oldest in BTS, and is one of the groups four vocalists
-Suga: Suga is also 26 and second oldest. He is one of BTS's rappers
-Jhope: Jhope is the sunshine of the group, always smiling and energetic. He is an amazing dancer as he street danced for 10 years before entering BTS. He is 25 years old and the 3rd rapper in BTS, as well as part of the dance line.
-RM: RM is really the glue to this group. He was the first member in BTS and therefore the leader. He is the only member that speaks English and does very well at translating, doing interviews, and giving speeches for BTS. He is 25 and I guess the middle child 😂. RM is the main rapper for BTS.
-Jimin: Jimin is my love. He is 23 years old, although his birthday is in a few days on the 13th which will make him 24. Jimin is kinda like the heart of the group, always comforting everyone else and giving everyone the support they need to keep going. He is an AMAZING vocalist and dancer. He was trained in contemporary, hip hop, and popping and locking. He is a vocalist for BTS and the second member to the dance line.
-V: V is the second youngest in BTS but him and Jimin were born in the same year which makes them the same age in Korea. V is known for his very deep and soulful voice as well as his unique facial feautures. He is a vocalist in BTS and the newest addition to the dance line.
-Jungkook: JK is the maknae of the group, which is what the youngest member is called in Korea, and just turned 22 last month. Jungkook is called the golden maknae due to his tendency to be good at everything. Singing, rapping, dancing, track, bowling, archery, gaming, and basically anything else he tries. He is the baby and his hyungs (word for a close male friend that is older) still tend to care for him like he is a child. Jungkook is the last vocalist and 4th member in BTS dance line. You will see a lot of Jungkook as he has many lines in their songs and is normally at the center of dance formations.

Army is mostly divided into 2 sides. Toxic and non-toxic but no matter which side your dealing with the only thing you can't mess with is BTS. On the non-toxic side we appreciate honest reactions and like to know your opinion even if it is not in favor of BTS, but I just ask that you respectfully address it and stop reactions if you dont like them, as I understand they are not for everyone. I see a lot of people attacking you guys because you said they looked alike or they looked like girls, but I completely understand where you come from. I am a newer army and when I first discovered BTS I could not distinguish them to save my life, it takes a little while and lots of practice but you will eventually begin to recognize them. And as for them looking like girls, people automatically assume it as an insult or a bad thing but many of the members do have what we would associate with feminie features especially Jimin and they are beautiful. But army really dont like to hear either of these things as BTS has had many haters use these things to put them down in the past.

I didn't think they looked anything alike when I first saw them but that's neither here nor there. Every opinion is different and I can respect that. I do hope that you ladies get to know them a little more because after a few more videos, you'll come to realize that they all have their own look and personalities. I'm anxious for you all to learn the lingo: "bias" "bias wrecker", etc. My bias happens to be Yoongi aka Suga aka AgustD (that's a whole other story lol). Anyway, he's the one in the DNA video that had the blue-ish hair that rapped and my bias wreckers are the other 6! LOL.

I blame the media for pushing the idea that BTS are a “typical boy band” and that’s why so many people have this prejudice and preconceived notion that bts are just for teen girls that go crazy. Also, that BTS are just like other kpop groups. Kpop is great but BTS really doesn’t fit into that category for a multitude of reasons so people really misunderstand. Back to the notion that fans are all girls. Even footage from media (news and entertainment programs) of bts concerts only show the screaming girls. Meanwhile, if you actually go to a concert you see men, women, children, all ages. It’s so disappointing that media is downplaying them and trying to fit them into this box and make them seem less impressive because teen girls like their music. Like, first of all give teen girls more credit! Second, bts music and content references so much literature and philosophy and even psychology that you have to freaking study that shht to understand it. Which means they’ve got fans who are in it for the quality of their content, not just to go crazy over looks. But who cares if you like their style and look anyway? Like what you like and don’t judge people for what they like. I admire some of the really androgynous styles they’ve gone for. Jungkook even said that great style is wearing anything you like regardless of gender. But the boys are all boys and diminishing their masculinity isn’t cool either especially when Asians get shht for that all the time in Western countries. At this point I don’t think they give a fvck what anyone says about their looks because they’ve heard it all, but fans are still gonna defend them every day, any day.
TLDR: BTS have depth and they don’t get credit for it often enough because people concentrate on the superficial.

DNA is a great song, but it's actually a small part of a bigger picture. It's from the album "Love Yourself: Her", which is a four part series called the Love Yourself Series. The series is made up of three albums and one short film. It ties into another, longer story that bts have been telling though their music for a really long time, since about 2015 (possibly since they first started in 2013 but that's up for debate, haha). DNA is happy and bright and the lyrics are super sweet and romantic with this idea that love is meant to be, and that it will turn into a happy ever after fantasy. But... BUT. It's just the first part of the story. (By the way, the story is not chronological, which makes it really confusing UGH but you can watch videos to explain it, just search for "bts universe explained"). The rest of the story gets very very dark. So although DNA may have given you an impression that BTS music is bright and pop-py and super sickly sweet, oh boy. I recommend listening to Outro: Tear for an angry wake up call. BTS have an huge range of music for pretty any mood, I kid you not. I've got whole playlists of just bts music sorted by mood and genre and there's a lot of them haha!!!!
Anyway, I hope you continue to give BTS a chance, especially give their music and lyrics a chance. Epiphany really gets to a lot of people. Jin sings it (don't worry, it's a solo song but all the members have solo songs so it's not a case of one member being more popular or breaking away from the group. They just encourage each other and value each other's individuality and don't restrict them to just group songs).

You should see they're live performances. They have 3 rappers and four vocalists. They're dancing is the best because they're super in sync with each other. Don't memorize them by hair colours because they change them a lot.

I could tell them all apart, except for Jin and Jungkook in the beginning for some super strange reason. I associated Jungkook’s face with the “Worldwide Handsome” meme because someone ELSE had attributed that quote to Jungkook’s picture instead of Jin. After that it was a struggle to re-route my thoughts from confusing both of them. I would see interviews with Jin mentioning he was Worldwide Handsome and I was so confused because I was like “okay I guess that’s Jungkook then, but I thought-???”
Eventually it all clicked that I had led myself astray. They’re all very different in their features, honestly.
