I I thought only Bappi Lahiri & Annu Malik useto copy English songs , but due to power of social media & youtubers like you now we realised Bollywood copy in all departments of film/music including actors,singers, producer/director ,music directors all in same boat. S(h)ame old story.

Yes very true. Bollywood copied Pakistan singers song also folk music & Legendary Singers like Ghulam Ali, Mehdi Hasan, Reshmaji, Ataullah Khan, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Hasan Jahangir, Tasawwur Khanum etc songs.
Couple of remakes or inspirations cannot dent the works of LP.....THE duo gave such fantastic contribution to Bollywood music in all possible ways...love and respect to duo

It has been going on for long time.
Only difference is Earlier Music Composers would steal 1 song but would create 50 original tunes of themselves. Nowadays it's 20 stealed tunes & 50 original.

I consider LP to be a very mediocre Music composers.....though their body of work is huge (500films) they have a handful tunes to boast about.....they have thrieved by manipulating bollywood & the producers.....they would purchase Filmfare awards like SJ did.....LP has actually brought abt the decline in standard of bollywood music from Khalnayak.....

Music Standards aren't brought down by LP alone, it was brought down by other musicians as well. it's the whole team of Directors, producers, Musicians and changing times that has brought down Standards of Bollywood Music.

When i first heard Hawa Hawa by Hasan Jahangir & Jawaan Jawaan from Billoo Badshah, i was shocked how could it be 2 songs with same music, they cannot co-exist in the same universe ! Maybe they have copied these songs but they have executed them beautifully in the Indian way and they also have many original compositions. Hollywood have also copied many films from French cinema. So it does not makes any difference. They are still legends.

LP is neverthless a great music duo. Many times the producer and director puts a lot of pressure on Music directors to copy the song, but they dont give the credits. It is just maybe 5 to 6 % they copied..
but that's like all the popular songs

@@vatsalvaishnav2062 agreed. but based on a few songs say less than 5 % of songs LP copied. it is bad to take away the credit for other successful original compositions. As i said, many indian music directors are under pressure from Director to copy. I remember one interview where Laxmi was saying that in Bobby the goan folk song "na maangu sona chandi" was forced on him by the film makers/ directors. If they copy, then they end up in the list of copycats, but if they dont, they wont get work and will make the director angry and will loose work. Place yourself in the shoes of the music director.
If you see Bappi Da, Annu mallik, preetham, they copy so regularly and most of their songs are copied.
@@rohan34 its not.. in fact in the list from this youtube, only Karz got the cult following, others are just ok ok songs... though copied, they did not become popular .. Lot of LP songs are original for example Satyam Shivam Sundaram , Hero , Dafliwale Dafli baja, Dosti , pyar ka nagma , hawa hawai.. all are popular but not copied as far as i know.. Why cant we appreciate them for the original songs.
Have you researched enough to reached to a conclusion that only 5% songs are copied , international music is vast and our music director's inspiration were not limited to English music only they have an access of all other language music .
