To be honest, I think that Bleach as a whole franchise should have ended years ago. Having only one person write a series for over a decade nonstop is incredibly taxing, and the quality tends to dip significantly (which I think is what definitely happened with Bleach). Kubo took too long, added unnecessary, near pointless filler, and just ran out of ideas imo.
Knowing that Bleach couldn't compete with other popular animes out there it has to end. It tries so hard to give fans what they want but really what they need and that is for the Anime to return

What about kisuke, nothing? WHY did aizen HATE the soul king SO much? AND WHY in gods name was ywhach ZANGESTU this whole time?! I think the main reasons Anime Fans get pissed off when they hear rumors of a Live-Action Adaptation of an Anime Series, is because: 1. Anime is more exaggerated than Real Life, which makes pulling a live Action adaptation off really difficult, 2. The creators of said Live-Action adaptations, have NEVER watched or read the source material of the Anime/Manga they're trying to adapt into a Live-Action, and 3. We're still mentally scarred by the Dragonball Evolution and Attack on Titan Live Action Movies.
I stopped at the anime. I am continuing to stop at the anime. I will not read the anime with bullshit cannon ships and a rushed ending. Especially when the manga went on for ten fucking years...

I think the bigger problem about the live action adaptation (execpt the understandable fear of "live-action") is not the timing of the announcement but the timing of the release. It build and destroyed its hype in an instant. Having followed the series through its ups and downs and seeing it end on a quite pleasent not, learning that there is a possible epilogue is awesome but then learning that it will be in 2 years when the hype around the series as a whole will have died down is quite a bummer. it feels as if it would be some sort of revitalisation for the series so it could sell more merch and cash in a bit more on a longuer term.
I got the news about live action movie of bleach yesterday and read the chapter this morning on the way to work. all I can say is: hey, last chapter(two weeks ago) was the soul society after story and the final one(today) was the humans. it works but they could have put both in one chapter if there were no questions being answered.....which there wasn't. yes they were a let down but hey atleast they had ki- KUBO WE DON'T NEED A "BURUTO", WE NEED ANSWERS! thats why we were expecting an anime....NOT A LIVE ACTION MOVIE! DX (sigh) something tells me this will be an adaptation of this final arc done in 2 and a half hours. wait no kubo I'm sorry, I don't blame you...I blame jump.
even if the live action turns out okay I'm sure it'll still receive the negative backlash because it's live action, it's a pretty long wait, and fans never asked for it. (A Comment on a different topic) Hi Aki, I wanted to ask if you knew the anime ReLIFE. Mainly because it's getting it's own live action in the format of a stage play. Personally to me some of the casting choices were honestly bad but watching an Ameba live on the rehearsal, it only stemmed down to one actor. And that was Ono Kensho as Kaizaki Arata. I know, I know, he's Kaizaki's VA in the anime but I don't see him as a good Kaizaki.

Now, every live action movie has potential and I think that some of these director's hearts are in the right place, but when they don't pay attention to the little details in the manga or anime, and some of it is caused by financial problems, the movie goes downhill REALLY quick.
Like you said I think timing is off with it and I've found that timing seems to be off with most animes getting a live action like attack on Titan had bad timing as we all want the second season but we're greeted with 2 pretty bad live actions but hey that's just my opinion

I think the bigger problem about the live action adaptation (execpt the understandable fear of "live-action") is not the timing of the announcement but the timing of the release. It build and destroyed its hype in an instant. Having followed the series through its ups and downs and seeing it end on a quite pleasent not, learning that there is a possible epilogue is awesome but then learning that it will be in 2 years when the hype around the series as a whole will have died down is quite a bummer. it feels as if it would be some sort of revitalisation for the series so it could sell more merch and cash in a bit more on a longuer term.
I got the news about live action movie of bleach yesterday and read the chapter this morning on the way to work. all I can say is: hey, last chapter(two weeks ago) was the soul society after story and the final one(today) was the humans. it works but they could have put both in one chapter if there were no questions being answered.....which there wasn't. yes they were a let down but hey atleast they had ki- KUBO WE DON'T NEED A "BURUTO", WE NEED ANSWERS! thats why we were expecting an anime....NOT A LIVE ACTION MOVIE! DX (sigh) something tells me this will be an adaptation of this final arc done in 2 and a half hours. wait no kubo I'm sorry, I don't blame you...I blame jump.
Being familiar with his work as Kamen Rider Fourze I think he would be an excellent Ichigo
even if the live action turns out okay I'm sure it'll still receive the negative backlash because it's live action, it's a pretty long wait, and fans never asked for it. In my opinion, it's a nice a gesture, but it's like giving a person socks for Christmas (you're like "thank you", but you have mix feelings if you'd rather have the socks or nothing at all).
I'm so hyped for the anime, assuming it is on hiatus. I think now it has no reason to have fillers, I think...
Okay, I gave up on bleach when the Quincy Ark proved to me that Tite Kubo just didn't care about consistency at all. But I love Sota Fukushi, he was amazing in Kamen Rider Fourze! Soooo I might actually give this a look.

Hi Aki, I wanted to ask if you knew the anime ReLIFE. Mainly because it's getting it's own live action in the format of a stage play. Personally to me some of the casting choices were honestly bad but watching an Ameba live on the rehearsal, it only stemmed down to one actor. And that was Ono Kensho as Kaizaki Arata. I know, I know, he's Kaizaki's VA in the anime but I don't see him as a good Kaizaki.

still just trying to get over how rushed the ending felt and the laundry list of questions the series left my with and I don't think I have enough leftover brain power to try and figure what made them decide that live action was the way to go after bringing things to a close

I think I'd be interesting to have a ova of his dad's adventures and how he met his wife like a little mini series because it didn't really go into how is dad it was a captain and how he's living in the human world
Now, every live action movie has potential and I think that some of these director's hearts are in the right place, but when they don't pay attention to the little details in the manga or anime, and some of it is caused by financial problems, the movie goes downhill REALLY quick.

Like you said I think timing is off with it and I've found that timing seems to be off with most animes getting a live action like attack on Titan had bad timing as we all want the second season but we're greeted with 2 pretty bad live actions but hey that's just my opinion

what about a 12 episode OVA that covers all major the story of bleach, that is entirely possible because there is so much filler.

the series is 74 volumes, you want each episode to cover about 8 books.

OMG AKKKI you have to review Diabolik lovers(IDK how to spell) but, in my opinion, it would be hilarious if you reviewed that anime and/or game, I think both are bad, but... just a suggestion!
