As a drone owner and resident of the US I have been following this closely. Have written and emailed my local representatives in Congress with my feelings of what is trying to be done. What information can they gain from recreational or even commercial flyers, such as real estate, that they cannot get with even more sophisticated means at their disposal? The US is a major market for DJI, the loss of the money from just that one market could put the drone market years behind. The loss would harm the money put into developing even a better product. A few members of Congress that are supporting the bill also have personally invested money into American based drone manufacturers. That alone should disqualify them from having a vote.
Hi Dan just filled in the form for this issue regarding banning of drones in the US unfortunately it wouldn't accept my postcode ... it read invalid zip code. Regards Mark P
I'm a local hobbyist. I have DJI Mini 2 that I fly on a regular basis. I really couldn't afford to buy what I have. And definitely can't afford to replace it. And now I'm hearing that I may windup with a $600.00 paperweight.
Another point, if they do ban them in the USA it will mean the purchase price for a new DJI drone will go up for those in other countries, it’s simple business maths , they need to recoup R and D , tooling and manufacturing costs over less drones sold…🤔
But on the other hand, we here in the UK 🇬🇧 might get some good prices on secondhand drones from the US as they won't be able to be flown over there, lol
Hey Dan I first want to say thank you for making a video spreading more awareness to this bill H.R 2864. If this bill passes not only will it prevent new drones but it'll ground existing drones through the FCC turning them essentially into paper weights. It would be all DJI drones like a phantom or a mini 4 Pro or Mini 5 pro even if in US. I joined the drone advocacy Alliance before this bill when they passed that other ban for government employees using the DJI for like example search and rescue. For both things both bills I got a hold of the representatives directly through their contacts and I went through the drone Advocacy Alliance and I made sure I requested a contact back to talk about it. And I have been getting calls back and we've talked plenty And honestly they don't agree with it either most of them don't like how these bills just get slipped in there with trigger words to scare politicians and people. There's also a lot of lobbying as well. Nothing comes close to DJI tech even if they gave us a couple years for American companies to come up with something and that's comparable in quality and maybe price probably not price though that time wouldn't be enough. Again they already passed a bill in the US if you're using your drone for business and your government employee I believe you can't. Bill HR 2864 aims to ban and ground all every DJI drone in the United States. Please everyone that's in the US for all flyers, Rec and 107. Let your representatives know how you feel and that you're not liking this. Thank you Dan again for sharing this. Even though you're in Australia you're still supporting DJI and your supporting the rest of us over here that are against it, so thank you very much.
@@driewiel You confuse law abiding licenced access to firearms with un-regulated firearm misuse. Plenty of firearms in Australia's and no children die from gunshots. You think by simply banning something the problem goes away, how many un-registered firearms do you think there are in the U.S.A? Many children die in vehicle related accidents, ban cars perhaps, can't have that can We.
@@dustyfarmer All the school shootings were by law abiding citizens. Until they decided to no longer be law abiding anymore. But maybe the reason why you have all those shootings is just because you Americans are disgusting blood thirsty idiots? I mean if it ain't the guns, it must be something else according to your theory. And yes cars kill too. That is why you need a driver license and be 16+. And why they are banned in houses, schools, sidewalks, parks, many European city centers. At least a car has a purpose. The only purpose of your AR-15 is feel a real tough guy. Maybe you should try landmines or carry a bag of hand grenades to the supermarket? Ar far I can tell all those guns you have don't do that great a job protecting you. I can assure you, we don't need armed guards and teachers to keep our children safe. We call that freedom. you know, freedom you Americans sing and cry about all day.
❗ Take action to stop USA from banning DJI drones ❗

This whole thing is ridiculous. I hope that people can have their voice and fight this!
It would better if we, in other countries, could voice our opinion too, as of course, it will end up affecting us as well.
Yes! Agreed 💯
I will send it in. But the current congress here is a joke if you haven't noticed. South Dakota resident in the Arizona deserts
Ahhh, I hope that this does not pass in the USA.

Thanks Mark, I appreciate the support.
Just did it. Very quick and simple.
Thank you for the support.

Yes 😡 this whole ban is ridiculous. I hope that this DOES NOT happen!
The knock on effect will go world wide so you are 100% correct good video
Yes! 😢

Just did it, love dji, would be sad to see it go
Yes! 😡 Thank you for participating 🤝
Yes. But they don’t care.
I hope they listen to the thousands of pilots who rely on DJI to do business.

Of course! You make some great points, thank you for the support.
Can’t beat them, so just ban them…..sounds heroic
Pretty sad 😢
Why wouldn't they go after guns first
Guns don't fly. They're harmless. So why take away American children's Christmas presents?
They already are.
@@dustyfarmer Yes imagine guns not being the number one cause of death for children in America anymore! Can't have that of course.
