Good game, Paul. The bot is a vineyard hoovering machine. 😉 To answer your question (after confirming with Nick). When the bot purchases a black depot tile: 1. A tile it has none of - Castle, Mine, Monastery, Livestock, Building, Ship 2. A tile it has one of - Castle, Mine, Monastery, Livestock, Building, Ship 3. A tile it has two of - Castle, Mine, Monastery, Livestock, Building, Ship 4. etc
If the Bot has 1 of every tile in its reserve except a wild tile, will the Bot purchase the left most and top most tile from the black depot and turn it into a wild tile? Edit: sorry, silly question. Your comment above answers my question.
@23:03 "I don't have any mines next to a starting castle." Yet there's a castle at the bottom with a mine directly adjacent 😂. Nice playthrough nonetheless 😉
Great playthrough! I'm waiting on my CoB Royal pledge to come in, can't wait to play it. Congrats on your weekend wedding! Wishing you loads of happy loving moments during your wedding and reception, and for the rest of your lives together. 🙂
Just received my all-in Special Edition. Having never played CoB before and particularly now that I've watched this I am very excited to get it to the table. Sincerest congratulations for your happy day - hope the weather treats you kindly!
This has really set me up for when the game arrives thank you I feel like I already have a headset on the rules front, I know a lot of people like this but I didn't know much about it when backing but it looks right up my alley. Shouldn't be long now and can't wait after seeing this.
Great video. I love the lighting, and then the excellent colors, sharpness, and clarity of your cameras. I also think it's very cool that you have a Game Toppers Fantasy mat, which I recognized right away. Do you also have one of the Toppers? Keep up the great work.
Indeed fantastic game, exceptional with this version. Played the chateauma 4 times now of which 2 times with the vineyard and I have to say that the chateauma vineyard points seem a little overpowered for me. On this one Paul I think you've lost the game right @ the beginning when placing your starting castle completely wrong if you know you can't resist the mines... 🙂
@@bmrigsActually, I’d rather see a playthrough like this than a review that even if not directly sponsored, you can’t help but wonder if they aren’t trying to make sure the review copies keep coming… That or putting way too much excitement into it. If Paul is being commissioned for such a playthrough it’s because a lot of people want to see a relatable guy who’s not trying to convince you one way or the other what you should think about the game. He’s letting the gameplay “do the talking” and being human, he can’t help but show genuine excitement from time to time, which is way more telling than someone spending the last 5 minute of his video gushing about a game… In any case, pretty sure Paul wouldn’t cover a game he hates and he most probably test it before any live stream. As for this edition, although trying to stay neutral, he is human and it shows that he likes it.
I was pleasantly relieved when I received mine today because there had been some moaning about the Sundrop wash. Only one spire would benefit from a dunk in some hot water to straighten it and there wasn't any damage to other delicate components. The vineyard expansion tile stand is fabulous, the goods are delightful and the cardboard hex tiles are really plenty nice if you just get the retail edition although the moulded player scoring/turn order markers are nice. Cheers, rasheedknox.

@@joshuajacobs7872 no, because if all the other tiles spaces were filled it wouldn’t need to purchase a wild tile.

As you quite rightly say, scientifically proven. Hope you and Vicky enjoy your day……and of course every day after.
I got my copy a couple of weeks ago. I really love this game! Thanks for the playthrough. Congratulations on your wedding.
Congrats Paul!!

Awesome video Paul, my copy has just arrived and I agree with you completely, I just want to play this again and again
Still a great game. Well played!!
1:17:00 when you placed the grapes on the 2 spot the bonus is to place any tile not take a tile.
oops. Thanks
Thank you man

congrats ❤
Now I wish I had backed this. Oh well, still have the original.
Just backed the 2nd printing of the game, 98% of the reason being the feel and clickity-clack sound of the acrylic bits.
Octopus’ name, Danny Carey of course! 😂 But that doesn’t start with “O” Danny: “Hold my beer”
Great play through. Just started mine with this gorgeous game. The acrylic tiles feel so good.
I like the expansion, but I think you need to make it a priority.
Quick random question. Do you have any opinions about this edition?
I'm sure Paul does, however, this was a sponsored play through.Paul tends to keep his opinions to the bare minimum when the video is sponsored.
@@albinoorkalbertson In other words, don't slap the hand that feeds you.
@@bmrigs hmmm. Not so much that, he was paid to do a play through and not review. There are other channels for paid reviews. 😏
