🤔🙀😱😲🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🎶There’s No Way To Be Able To Top That Absolutely Smashing Perfection Performance Of The Incredible Mr Fred Swann. The Amazing Technically Ability To Master The Pipe Organ Of This Size Has Always Mesmerized Me & I Think 🤔 So Many People Truly Underestimate The Complexity Of The King 👑 Of Instrument 🤔😱🙀☝️To The Average People It’s Is Just A Loud Noise But When You Peal Back The Curtains It’s A World Like No Other. The amount of undisputed Training In Order To Master The Pipe Organist Degree 📜 Is I Would Dare To Make A Evenly Match as A Pilot. And Mr Fred Swann Is Definitely One ☝️.🥰🥰✅👍🏼♥️. Bravos!👏🏽

"Playing notations...." Such as stop changes, and/or a playlist. Always a great pleasure to see and hear Fred Swann, on any organ. John Carleton, Sacramento, Ca.

At least the organ hasn't been replaced. Fred Swann will always be remembered as an amazing organist, where would the organ be without him.

That's not sheet music but rather a small piece of paper with handwritten notes on it to remind Fred of whatever he needs to do during the performance. Since this is his arrangement, he already has the music memorized. I do the same thing with some of my arrangements.

Steve bournias+ How do you know? You work on the organ? :) it is interesting to know that. I wish I knew more on the details on the Hazel Write organ.
Here is a question, what is the 32' Walker Bombarde digital stop equal to in real pipes? Scale? Wind Pressure?

That is the 5-bell Zimbelstern which this piece calls for at that point in the music.

That stop is the cornet and the score calls for contrasting cornets

I suspect that it's not the music per se, but cues for his piston changes (the little buttons between the keyboards that automatically change the stops).

I think its a Sesquialtera. No I think I think it is a Krumhorn or something along that line, it is raspy. A Sesquialtera is the top end of a 5 rank Cornet. If I remember it's the 2 2/3 & 1 3/5 stops used with an 8-4-2 flute to make a french reed stop.

The twinkling sound at 1:31 is the zimbelstern.

At the very end of this video I believe you are hearing an extract from the Toccata movement of Charles Marie Widor's Organ Symphony No. 5.

The organ has sustained a lot of water damage.... possibly some ciphering mixtures?

Gloria, I have been looking for someone who was at Riverside Church back in 1979. If you would email me at my gmail address I am anxious to discuss it with you. Thanks - Gar Harris

I don't know why this post received negative comments. It is true. I sang in the Riverside Choir under Frederick Swann for several years beginning in 1979. He is a superior musician. I had heard in college that organists tended overwhelmingly to be homosexual men, but only after I became a working musician did I see this reality. It is a struggle for just one person to survive (sometimes not even that) on what musicians earn (esp. church organists). They can't afford to support a family.

@@mareisland6425 She's not awful....But comparing the two is like comparing Range Rover and Rolls Royce, Both are similar and both have their strengths and weaknesses.
