Very helpful guide, better than a lot of larger creators, love that you didn't get too caught up in specifics and mainly just focused on general unit types The examples were great too and added massively to the helpfulness of the advice, information only gets you so far without a proper demonstration to back it up
With Lizardmen, it's beneficial to use locked groups, because all of their units have different movement speeds. You don't want your big dinosaurs, terradons, skinks, etc. running ahead of your slow-moving saurus battle line--and getting shot to pieces--before the battle even begins. This is the most common mistake I see in almost every Lizardmen campaign. And, sure, there might be times when you want to use fast units before your battle line engages--to draw enemy fire, or minimize enemy artillery--but the bulk of your units still need to move as a cohesive whole, otherwise you're just making things much harder for yourself.
2 years of playing and I only just now learned about shift+click to map multiple points for a movement path ... holy hell thank you for saying that! Follow Up: HOLY SHIT YOU CAN EMBED TROOPS? WHAT???? That's gonna make my front lines so much better.
At the 9 minute mark is there a reason not to put Handgunners on the flanks of the ranged lines. I only say that because when they switch positions with the melee if handgunners are on the flanks they can easily pivot for shooting in the flank, or if there is enemy cavalry they got a direct firing line ready to respond.
In MP, when the enemy takes the guns through his infantry, you hit him with a spell and punish the overlap - you need corridors in infantry to avoid damage, best option is to retreat one gun unit at a time. But that takes your attention away, so usually these formations are rather static (the skirmish space usually begins to heat up soon). Given these sample reasons, guns need to be placed in cover and range at all times. Destroying one approaching elite unit in the skirmish space is not worth the risk imho.
Hoooo ! So thats why i dont do good damage with my ranged unit, once there is a blob in the front line i have to disengage them to flank so they dont have to take care of my own front and fire at will. It is not explained that your ranged unit try to find an angle to fire and some just cant find it if you dont flank or i didn't get the memo in my first campaign ... Its logic but to think it was implemented into a game is truly amazing.
I'm sorry if it is a stupid question, but why is it better to move your ranged units back behind melee, instead of moving your melee up in front of the ranged?
@colonel Damneders just wondering if your into warhammer as the game genre or if you've had previous interactions with the lore bit of it :D i was sucked in by the lore.
Can you please do a video on the rock scissor paper mechanic? I can’t understand how my greatswords seem to lose against swordsmen In campaign. Just how to netter utilise units Please sir
1:38 Artillery can land and hit staggers units if it's inaccurate like hailstorm rockets which have a wide range. Nortors in the ither hand will only hit on unit yah. So part of it is to pay attention to what you are fighting.
I just started the game with elves. Their damage sucks. Bro what is this imperial damage you just kill with 3 4 shoots. Also, how do I get rid of grey lands (corraptions)

"No friendly-fire whatsoever! Mostly because our units run away, but that`s besides the point.."
xD
Thank you for this. Found it very helpful, explained well easy to understand and good demonstrations to top it off. Easy sub
Nice guide! Very informative would love to see a Wood Elf multiplayer guide!
This was a very helpful video. I've learned a lot. Thanks, CD.

Nicely done
I know im late to the party here but great work mam these videos are really helping me improve my gaming

tbh its probs my bad for wording it that way. you can do either or both but the main thing is making the ranged units be behind the melee

Can you do a video on how to maximize making money in campaign w/ the factions. I can't figure it out.
I did a video on province management which might help >> ruclips.net/video/ieXobNdqJ7g/видео.html
Last I checked, the splash damage from your own melee single entity units does no damage to your own troops... just knocks them about.
Great vid! How do you deal with an outranged enemy? I.e. elven archers or missile horsemen
Against wood elves its really simple, bring multiple armies and autoresolve so you dont have to deal with their bullshit.

might just be me but the audio on this video is a little unbalanced to the right
