To explain just a little how mana works in this world mama is expended to creat mass like when Rudy fire stone canons it’s his mama that creates the stones the reason it is so hard to make figures like Rudy is because it expends a ridiculous amount of mana because you have to be super precise with your earth magic for fine details and stuff that is why fitz says it would be impossible for a normal person cause Rudy has so much mana it’s crazy that and he knows a lot about science and other stuff from his old world witch also helps him with incantationless magic and he used to creat figures in his past life so he has prior experience making things like this but now instead of carving it he can just use his mind mana and earth magic to creat figure but magic in this world still applies the law of conservation of mass meaning if you have basically no mana your spells will be tiny or not very effective or just not work at all but basically what I’m trying to say is that a persons mana is traded in exchange for the spell the bigger the spell the more mana it will take also it’s not necessarily about the size there are other factors but I think they will probably get into that in the anime so I hope I did a decent job of explaining but it’s better explained in the LN
