Actually the background harmonies are a Thom Bell signature, he was a Philly cat and this song is a tribute to his style. It’s much more Philly International but some people only know Motown as a reference point.

Spot on....when Paak sings his part his voice and the beat sounds current....but when Bruno sings his part the song takes on more of an old R&B tune....it takes me all the way back to the 1970s where I'm riding around the neighborhood with my Big Wheel. 😋😋😋😋😋

There's a lot of styles in here. I hear a bit of Blue Magic, The Chi-lites, The Temptations, The Jackson 5, The Manhattans. It's a good throwback to doo-wop, Philly soul.

Let's jump ahead to 2022 Grammys. Do they put this song in the R&B/HipHop Category or the Traditional R&B Category with all the old people? IMO, this is clearly a throwback to 70's R&B. So, it should go in the Traditional R&B Category.

Hey can you react you a video on Clap It Up Dan's channel; it's 22 times Tim Foust went subharmonic. Also could you possibly react to a singer known as Shawn James.
