That #5 OLB that bull rushed Latham on that play is Josiah Stewart. A 6'1 245lb transfer from Coastal Carolina. When Michigan got him, the word was he was a speed rusher with elite bend. But that is not what Michigan got. That bull rush is something he did on day one and has done to every Tackle at least once a game he's played. Latham is a great tackle but this is that dude's special move. Good time for him and his teamates for him to bring out his special.
I was just saying this. So he says 65 didn't block well enough, but how about crediting the guy going up against him? Maybe he was just that good and he affected the play. They still earned that stop. There are several plays in a game that could have gone differently. I don't like how Saban said, "I don't mean to take anything away from Michigan, but here's all the things we did wrong." That goes both ways in a game. Michigan shut down the explosive passing plays. They earned the win.
@@cajunomics350 Take nothing from Michigan, but who really thought this Alabama team was no championship caliber team with how that Offensive Line played all season. Alabama is not what they used to be defensively and offensively. No team is able to beat them when they are their best and they have not been their best since 2015.
@dontdisturbthisgroove8848 Everyone did.. You did not hear a single person saying that Michigan would win. Everyone has Alabama winning the natty.. now that they've lost they're a bad team
Michgan fan here, our special team for some crazy reason play like trash. If it weren't for that, in my opinion the game would have already been out of reach for Alabama.
One of the announcers after the game talked about that play , Michigans #5 blew a guy backwards that had 100 pounds on him , just a great play by the Michigan man
High key Michigan was just destined to win that game. Michigan avoided an int with 3 mins left, the tipped pass later in that drive was still caught by the Michigan wide receiver, they avoided a safety on the punt with 50 secs left..it was just meant to be. Also just have to give credit to the Michigan players because they ultimately made more of the winning plays when it mattered most.
Michigan's special team's performance was disastrous and gave Alabama many opportunities to win. The NO 1 reason why Alabama still lost is Michigan actually controlled the line of scrimmage through out the game. If it's not because of Milroe's freekish athletic ability, this game score will be lopsided.
Bama could’ve also easily won this game! Those bad snaps absolutely killed those drives. If Bama would’ve even gotten a damn field goal on that drive killer, that’s a rap. It would’ve been a two score game with literally 4 minutes left. Bama 100% pissed down their leg when they had a chance to seal it.
as a Michigan fan, it's actually very encouraging that Michigan won despite playing like shit. I disagree about Milroe cutting left, he saw Sainristil coming which forced him to move forward.
No it was the play call. He was supposed to follow the linemen. Then the low snap happened and the lineman had already passed by. The last play would’ve worked it just was executed badly
I agree 100%, while at first blush it looked like Sainristil overshot, if you actually watch other frames (which the presenter cautiously did not show) you see that 1) Milroe appears to commit to straight ahead before the Defensive line throws someone on him and 2) even if he woulda coulda shoulda cut left microseconds before he was "tripped", then the film shows sainristil was on him.@@ryancuneaz6426
Funny how Alabama played like shit but still went to over time with Michigan. Imagine how lopsided the score would have been if Bama didn’t have those mistakes. Got to give it to Michigan for barely beating Saban’s worse team in 17 yrs 😂
It was crazy to see the issues Michigan had on special teams. They have been basically flawless all year with special teams. Pressure does funny things.
It's humorous to watch the "Michigan be scared to play Bama when they found out" and the "Penix not a Heisman" narratives completely disappear from ESPN like they never existed in the first place...It must kill Finebaum to have to praise Harbaugh.
@@bigrackz9381whatever fool. I didn't see Jalen Milroe fall down 5 times in the 1st half i saw michigan sacking him. Learn how to give your opponents some credit dummy, I guess Auburn a .500 team lost and Bama didnt win shit in the Iron Bowl as well.
they had plenty of opportunities to make up for their mistakes within that game. They didn't capitalize until the dying minutes in a 4 & 2 play and in OT.
That DL has been the "secret weapon" Michigan has been perfecting for the last three years. It had become so potent this year that no DL or Edge played more than 33 snaps in any game, including the PSU and ohio games. Those young men are honed to a razors edge AND fresh. The Michigan S&C program is easily as good as Georgia's and Alabama's. Considering none of those young men were 5 star recruits, it is a true testament to how good Ben Herbert is as the Wolverines S&C coach. Most of those sacks were taking place too damned fast for Milroe to progress through his reads and find a tenable way to extricate himself. Yes, Michigan played a middling schedule at best, but unlike 99% of all FBS teams, they never played down to their competition. Were they a little overly cautious against PSU, maybe, but it worked. And I think Maryland's dismemberment of Auburn limb-by-limb (sans Tagovailoa) shows they were not quite the weak a$$ opponent that every SEC fan claimed them to be... Thank you for the honest truth Matt, it is refreshing to hear a modicum of humility that Michigan "beat" a very good Alabama team. This game turned out exactly how I thought it would, minus the OT. A knockdown, drag out, 15-round, old school, heavyweight bout. GO BLUE!!!
If we want to fix Bama's mistakes, can we fix the Michigan Special Teams while we are at it? Hell of a game though, my heart was firing on all cylinders during that one.
Last year's semifinals were pretty good imo. The only reason people won't include it is because of the National Championship game blowout, but if you're just asking best semifinals of the playoff era you have to honestly consider last year as a top contender.
Yeah, but beyond just the plays, the brand power and the emotional stakes of this year’s playoffs is unmatched. Michigan, Texas, Alabama are top draw deep seated blue bloods and Washington is not too shabby either - all coming in as conference champs. All the Alabama selection drama and all the Michigan drama just made this into a more high stakes emotional event.
Matt you’re 100% correct that your lineman was bullrushed by Michigan’s left side end. Also you can see #81 basically wrapping his arm around the neck of Derrick Moore #8 for Michigan. Sanrastil number 0 was making Milroe have to cut back in as well:
I completely agreed with you Matt and I literally heard the air blow out of Bama's momentum and like you said, Bama was running the ball pretty much at will for 9 or 10 yards every time and then what happens? Bam! Bama lost focus, that's what it was Matt, somebody had a let down somewhere somehow. I also agree that the Bama and Michigan game was the game of the two best teams in the country. ❤
I don’t know. I’ll admit I didn’t know much about Washington, but after watching that Texas game I have to think they’ve got a good shot at beating Michigan.
The play was designed to go up the middle. Milroe had a wall of defenders sealing the right side. The lead blocker was sealing the left. Everything just collalsed.
Thank you Matthew for showing this and the analysis! When I saw Jalen "fall down" almost as soon as he started running, I thought something looked weird about it. I didn't notice it was another grounded snap. Everything happened so fast, even on replay. Well I hope many of our "kinks" get corrected in the off season, if so...next season is going to be GREAT!! ROLL TIDE!! 🐘🐘🐘🐘
Mason Graham is #55. He’s the the one who not only got the tackle for loss on second down but also bull rushed the RT. He is a sophomore and IMO might be the best defender in CFB next year. Dude needs to start getting noticed.
Not Graham, it was steward, and mason has gotten recognition all season, he was out because of his hand and the Dline is so deep he didn’t have to stay on the field
Josiah Stewart was the one that blew that up. Technique or leverage but once he got the big man vertical and underneath him just a matter of driving your legs jyst like the sleds..
OSU/Bama in 2014 was epic. Third string QB started for the Bucks. Close game until Zeke ran 85 yards into the heart of the south. Also the first CFP. Epic.
Matt #65 is JC Latham. According to reports/insiders he was playing with a strained ligament which may explain why he was getting pulverized all night (especially the last play). He’s actually been one of the better OL the entire season.
I agree with most of what you said, but however bad Alabama kept shooting themselves in the foot, Michigan did much worse! The Michign special teams blunders are what kept Alabama in the game. So yeah, mistakes on both sides, but it made for a good game in the end. Michigan must clean it up against Washington.
Those aren't just middle school mistakes. Those are mistakes that happen when you are fully grown men that have been mentally beaten down by Michigan's defense absolutely steamrolling your O-line and lighting up your QB.
The Michigan defender that was unblocked on the left (from offense vantage) may have also been why he didn’t initially go left. Not the one who penetrated untouched and became non-factor but the other who hadn’t engaged yet. 65 was also blocking two defenders which was probably more than he could handle in that situation
Michigan muffed the punt 2-3 times, missed a fg, and missed a PAT. Sure bama had snapping issues but michigan's special teams was atrocious! Plus our punter couldn't kick longer than forty yards which isn't his norm. Alabama was winning the field position battle
The officiating was still bad - the "unnecessary roughness" call on Michigan's Max Bredeson #44 when he made sure the defender stayed on the ground - while the defender was in the path, within 10 yards, of an active running play. That cost Michigan a 1st down. To most people it was unexplainable. Next, not long later, Michigan QB was obviously tackled hard on a run play well out of bounds - common sense dictated a penalty against Bama. NO CALL. Again, to most people that was unexplainable, especially after the strict excessive interpretation against Bredeson. From there we could go to ignoring Bama offensive line holding holding Michigan's defensive line but that happens so much to Michigan it almost doesn't caught. Bama still won the Officiating battle. I'm just glad the officiating didn't determine the game. Fingers crossed with the Championship game because there will be a lot more room for the officials to put a thumb on the scale given the UW passing attack.
@@jimrice4699 It's hard to tell what we are going to get here but I do think this game there will be a lot of scoring.. Providing UM does not fall behind WA, very hard to come back and beat them this way. I'd say, close first half than my gut and football mind seem to think WA wins this.
@@jimrice4699 Wow! Great analogy and your right, they still won the officiating battle. Yeah, it's always never wracking playing a good passing offense because of those inference calls and no calls. Should be a great game and may the better team win. But you guys imo are better than Bama. I thought Bama got calls all season and they do every season.
Re: the last play, I respectfully disagree. If Milroe was actually going to follow his blocker (which, as you said, just might have worked), he would have (or should have) cut left before he got tripped up. It might have been the bad snap, it might have been Sanristil's presence on Milroe's left (even if Mikey DID run himself "out of the play"), it might have been anything; but Milroe taking it straight up the middle was a mistake, and doomed the play. That being said, you are absolutely right: this game determined who the champion was going to be.
Your wrong about the last play the player on the left (Sanrastil) played it exactly the way he wanted. If you look in real time Milroe looks at Sanrastil and decides he would make the play (and he would of) and then decides to go straight. Sanrastil absolutely came back far but I see no way Milroe could beat him because he had 2x the distance to go both left of line or wide so he went straight. Great play and execution by Mike Sanrastil even though he didnt make the tackle, he redirected it. The snap is a different story but I dont think it affected the play as much as people think. I think it was a run all the way.
I went back and watched it in slow mo. Perhaps if the snap was better, maybe he follows his blocker and scores, but once the football hit the turf, I think he just panicked. Understandable given it was the biggest play of his life. I think he saw a sliver of daylight and closed his eyes and hoped for the best. See ya next year, I hope. Let's run it back.
Factors on this last play: 1) The discussion of Bama #65 getting bull rushed, backwards THREE yards and tripping Milroe is true. Does the MI DE that caused that not deserve credit for that? Just because he didnt actually tackle Milroe, it is still a great defensive effort that caused the play to fail. 2) The small crease of daylight up the middle is strictly due to an blatant hold by Bama with the bama player having his arm completely around the MI lineman's neck. 3) The low snap definitely effected the play, and it did look like Milroe panicked. If he was supposed to cut left, i didnt see him even glance in that direction, plus MI #0 (Sanarstill, cant spell his name), would have made that tackle even if he over ran it a little. That might also have been why Milroe didnt go left.
This did not come down to one thing. Michigan is the better team this year. Their players played better than ours their coaches coached a better game simple as that.
Wrong take on the last play. 20% of the blame goes on the low snap and 80% of of the blame should be on Milroe. The play is designed to follow the pulling guard. Jalen panicked and was impatient. If he follows Roberts and executed the timing, Latham’s poor block is irrelevant. Also the biggest play of the game was Milroe’s fumble and to be honest he fumbled on the majority of his runs, he just got the ball back luckily.
Sainristil (#0) did not over run the last play. From the angle show in this video it does look a little bit like he does but when you look at other angles Sainristil kept his leverage and is in position to make a play even if there was a good snap and the tackle didn’t get blown up.
I kind of agree with you here, Matt, i remember seeing him hit the back of 65 in the replay. BUT also I don't think Milroe is supposed to be or should be this far inside by the time he's hit by this lineman. This play already should have been moving left. Late bounce outside combined with 65 getting absolutely bullied, ended the game here.
And his timing was late because again, bad snap. He was already a half-second behind the play (and his blocker), so the hole that was there was already closing. He was supposed to pretend to squeeze through the gap and then cut left WITH his blocker. But Michigan had already collapsed the whole thing.
Top four teams my asss. Bama was number 8th ranked all season for a reason. Suddenly a few weeks ago, due to influence peddling by your rich boosters and ESPN’s love of all things Grandpa Saban, you guys jumped from 8th to 4th but quickly showed why you should have remained in 8th place. Top 4 my ass. I’m sure FSU could have snapped a ball to their 9th string QB and done it successfully.
Matt, Love your channel. As someone who went to this game I can say I have nothing but praise for Michigan and there fans exept for the pregamers💀 Cant wait to watch that boy justice and jalen hale next year, LANK 4L
I find it disingenuous how you trash other teams, now looking for excuses to smooth your inflated egos, your right about 1 thing, Alabama didn't belong there. That play at Auburn was really lucky. Alabama shouldn't ever had made it. Ask any pro, 1 play does not define the whole game.
Michigan gave u so many opportunities to win the game!!!! They totally dominated Alabama!!!! Special teams kept Alabama in it and was Michigan special teams. Lol
Saying they are special because they got there? Come on Matt, they didn’t deserve #8 to #4 and leap frog conference champs who beat 2 SEC teams. It’s called bias and corruption. Let’s say Deion was FSU coach and this happened…. Alabama never would have got the 4th spot. Talking foolish now
Great analysis. i have RUclips TV and i replayed the last play over and over to see Milroe tripping on #65's calf. You can actually see #65 writhing in pain after the play ended. Interesting note: I looked at the stats of Michigan #5 who bowled over Alabama #65. #5 is 6'1 and 245. #65 is 6'6" 360! The adage that it's the fight in the dog, not the dog in the fight clearly applies here. Fantastic game nonetheless and spot on analysis.
I think the only part of the analysis that was "spot on" was that Milroe was tripped up by Michigan's defense. Beyond that, it certainly appears that Milro had already committed to running straight ahead, and had he in fact intended to cut left at some point after Michigan through the Bama player into him, then Michigan's Sainistril was there to wrap him up. The analysis appears questionable at best but did a good job of generating revenue for this RUclips channel. LOL.
You could view this as the Alabama RT blowing the play. But, the other side of this is the Michigan DE played with much better leverage, blew him up and put him on roller skates. Also interesting is that the DE was Josiah Stewart, a transfer to Michigan this year from Coastal Carolina. The scouting on him is that he's a good speed or speed-to-power rush end, but is undersized and Michigan fans were concerned he wouldn't hold up as an edge-setter on the LOS at 6'1 245. During camp Michigan's tackles had commented on how powerful he was given the lack of size. Clearly, that proved true.
The reason Alabama loss was because Michigan our played them. Jalen Milroe wouldn’t have scored on the final play because the outside guy on defense forced him to go inside. If you look at the gap that appeared to be on the outside and the space the defender had in between him and Milroe, it was very similar. Had Milroe tried to bounce outside, that guy wouldn’t have met him in that gap and tackled him before he got through it.
@@joelbrooks3198 Throw to number 5 out in the flat and its a TD. 2 Recivers to block 2 CBs and the LB is late coming over to cover the RB out in the flat. Still photos don’t do justice to the last position: Michigan player Mike Sainristil with number 0 has not taken himself out of the game. In still photos he appears to be just standing there but he is rushing towards the quarterback and forcing him to run towards the middle of the scrimmage. QB had to do a sharp left turn and lose speed even if the didn’t trip on his own defense.
Absolutely. It's obvious. But the game here is to generate clicks and comments like we are doing so the fluffy review generates more revenue. I guess we should stop helping him. LOL☺
So after watching film on this Alabama Michigan game the number one reason Alabama lost this game was Michigan scored more points than Alabama. Last nights reaction show told me all I needed to know about ur channel. Your a little boy who just saw his Chihuahua get chewed up by a rottweiler. Bama kicks 2 50+ field goals. Recovers a fumbled punt return. Had 4 other punts Aussie style bounce 20-30 yards inside the 20. Had a phantom unsportsmanlike penalty goe against Michigan moving the ball from 45 1st down to 30 yd line and 3rd n 11. Meanwhile Alabama got away with 2 more egregious unsportsmanlike penalties. Bama was gifted 11 -14 points and still lost the game.
You sound like an ohio state fan. Michigan made tons of special teams errors. Michigan's worst perfornance of year on special teams. Maybe Alabama just couldnt handle the #1 defense in the nation, giving up less than 10 ppg.
It's a 3 year drought, Nick Saban ain't getting any younger. And we're all catching up to you. It wont be long and you will know what the 1990s Alabama fans felt.
Like probation years late 90's and again in the early 2000's. We remember those fear the thumb shirts Auburn had. I don't think we're headed that far down yet!
Notice that where you say he should have gone, that offensive lineman was holding big time, you have it in one of the freeze frames, should have been called regardless
You sound like the Warren commission on the JFK assassination. Michigan was just a better team full stop. Alabama lost because they didn't do enough to win. Michigan defense stuffed them and it was lights out. The two best teams made the final.
This is my favorite time of year to watch Matt When/If Alabama loses you can hear it in his voice, always good to hear Alabama fans be Humbled by a Big Ten team 😂
Matt Michigan Muffed two punts and misplayed a few more. And the defender stuffed th lineman into Milrow so Yes Michigan stuffed them. Michigan had rhe failed flea flicker kill a drive. Michigan had bad punts. The ony Bama touchdowns tey both started in plus territory. Michigan BEAT them. plain and simple. Next week will be a fun one to watch.
I get it dude. It's heartbreaking. The facts are the game was sloppy for Alabama and Michigan. Why Bama lost to Michigan is because they got outplayed and outcoached. You can pick it apart all you want. I can say if Michigan didn't blow that 2nd extra point the game would have ended at regulation 21-20. I appreciate you taking the L, but it's just facts. Both teams played sloppy, Michigan just played less sloppy. The Natty comes back to Michigan with us the 8th! GO BLUE 〽️
That was a great break down of that play, but give credit where it’s due that Michigan lineman blew that play up. Now due a breakdown of the unforced Georgia fumble in their red zone that lead to Bama field goal.
Hey Matt stop it! Your reason on why Alabama lost is ridiculous! and you can’t single out #65 and say he’s the reason why Bama lost. The whole world and everybody in the Rose Bowl knew Milroe was going to have the ball in his hand! Oh and I never watched any of your videos were you just fast forwarded to the second half 😂😂 Hilarious, your center was the first to leave the field what does that say 😂😂GO BLUE
The claer cut reason was, Michigan dominated Alabama's line all game long. On offense and defense. Two bad snaps will not cost you the game. Getting dominated on the line of scrimmage will. The last play of the game Michigan dominated the line. Even when Alabama knew they were going QB run. Still couldn't stop Michigan D line.
We had 2 bad snaps that completely missed Jalen’s hands, but there were about 15 low and high snaps where he had to move his eyes to catch them, and 1 went all the way to the right and Jalen caught that too somehow. But that’s definitely more than two especially when he has to move his eyes to catch a snap over 15 times

Another huge factor in the loss is that we went back to man to man with the LBs after using zone the entire third quarter. We already showed in the first half that man to man was killing us. Might as well have said, Hey we'll make it easy for you to tie the game up by not covering the flats at all. All we needed was a stop and couldn't get it.

Hate to blame one guy but I’d put it more on the center than anyone else. That half a second to bend a grab the ball cost milroe all the timing and momentum to read that run effectively l. Regardless, lots of shit went wrong lmao
I know you like breaking down the film, but lets be honest, as a Bama fan too, the goal line play wasnt the only issue during that game. The outcome would have probably been the same and Michigan more than deserved to win that game. The ONLY issue I have with Michigan winning that game, is uber creep lord Harbaugh thinks he outplayed Saban....but then again, dude permanently lives in a fantasy world. Looking at your breakdown, I think if that lineman wouldnt have been bullied, Jalen would have been fine taking it up the middle, right of the back of those blocks and had enough momentum to push number 8 back, enough to get into the endzone. And yes, this was probably the most balanced semi final games the playoffs have had to this point.
It looked to me like Michigan studied the Texas game alot. With all the short flat passes and receivers crossing short, it was Texas game plan. We have not been able to defend this type pass all year. our coverage mistakes were awful. As a life long Bama fan and Alumnus, We overachieved this year. I knew when Michigan tied the score and we were going to overtime, we did not have the offense for this type situation. However, I hope we are better next year.
Someone FINALLY said something about Milroe tripping!!! Thank you! I haven't heard a single announcer, reporter, etc say anything about him tripping over his own lineman.
@@matthensley6365 It just sounds like an excuse and really a moot point. If anything, the snap was too low, the pocket collapsed, and he "tripped" over his lineman because the Michigan defender tossed him into Milroe. The play was destined to fail, him tripping was a byproduct of the defense.

Latham is a great tackle but this is that dude's special move. Good time for him and his teamates for him to bring out his special.
Wow - he bull rushed a man that weighs over 100 pounds more than him.

I think ppl also forget the game shouldn’t have even been in overtime. Michigan special teams allowed this game to stay close.
Michigan was the better team

Agreed 👍🏾
One of the announcers after the game talked about that play , Michigans #5 blew a guy backwards that had 100 pounds on him , just a great play by the Michigan man
Josiah Stewart our transfer from coastal Carolina, he will be an NFL DE.
Exactly what I said outside line backer blew that play up saved the game. Great play by the young man
Oh susanna, don't you cry for me....for I'm going to Alabama with a box of tissues on my knee.......alabama has always got a poor excuse for losing!!!
5 sacks in First half, O line can't pass protect, And RB at QB
You guys aren't really giving that michigan D credit. They dominated Bama and the oline 💀 that defense was TOUGH
Should have been 38-13, to be honest.
@@spdcrzyDefinitely not, but Michigan easily could’ve won this game by 14 points and this is coming from a Bama fan.
Wait you forgot that the only reason Bama was in the game was because of Michigan's special teams blunders.
as a Michigan fan, it's actually very encouraging that Michigan won despite playing like shit.

It's humorous to watch the "Michigan be scared to play Bama when they found out" and the "Penix not a Heisman" narratives completely disappear from ESPN like they never existed in the first place...It must kill Finebaum to have to praise Harbaugh.

they had plenty of opportunities to make up for their mistakes within that game.
GO BLUE!!!
My man was thinking about how he has to deal with #55 Mason Graham every play; that’s why his snaps were terrible LOL
The people who watched the snapper all season know he was terrible all season. 4th and 31 Auburn. Thanks snapper…
100% agree

Yes, Ga and Ohio state was super as well. It’s an opinion take
It was good no doubt, Ohio State almost beat Georgia, but this year was even better.

You literally heard air? Literally, eh?
I don’t know. I’ll admit I didn’t know much about Washington, but after watching that Texas game I have to think they’ve got a good shot at beating Michigan.

The play was designed to go up the middle. Milroe had a wall of defenders sealing the right side. The lead blocker was sealing the left. Everything just collalsed.
Michigan played good defense as well let's not act like bama let them win with mistakes michigan took it from them
Bama lost in the trenches and became one dimensional with milroe
Thank you Matthew for showing this and the analysis! When I saw Jalen "fall down" almost as soon as he started running, I thought something looked weird about it. Alabama was holding on that final play
Wasn’t Graham named an All American?!
Epic.

Technically you can say that about almost every failed play.
Matt #65 is JC Latham. According to reports/insiders he was playing with a strained ligament which may explain why he was getting pulverized all night (especially the last play). He’s actually been one of the better OL the entire season.
Maybe that explains how a 245 lb DE put him on his rear on the last play, but still hard to comprehend since Latham weighs 360

Thank you for the breakdown. The last play happened so fast.
I prefer the term getting his ass kicked vs. getting bullied. Like what happened most of the game. Michigans defense dominated
Our kickers both played sub-par
@@harrycojones4273 your kicker drilled 2 50 yard field goals what are you talking about?
and the punter was bombing 60 yard punts and that’s after he got “injured” on the “roughing the kicker”
@@bud-hq2oj lol… that ‘injury’ should have been a ‘fake foul flag’ lol
Just for an FYI. The two games Bama lost, there wasn't an SEC officiating crew officiating the game lol.

I love it man! You keep it real! Eating cheesy puffs on the couch telling Milroe to run left.
Factors on this last play:
1) The discussion of Bama #65 getting bull rushed, backwards THREE yards and tripping Milroe is true.
This game STILL hurts especially after seeing this breakdown, great job Matt. I’m so happy I came across your channel
It's funny seeing all the mental gymnastics from Bama fans.
Thanks for your insightful analysis of that final play.
Alabama pooped in their pants and embarrassed the SEC. This was not a great game
That offensive lineman btw, is 1st round draft grade JC Latham. I'd say this game hurts his draft stock, but also don't blame it on one player Matt😂
Latham was injured on that play, and Milroe (and most of the other Bama players) just left him lying on the ground as he walked past him.

You’re right, they shouldn’t have been there. They were put in over a deserving undefeated team. It’s a shame SEC bias ruined this years playoff.
Nope wrong illiterate words of u
Let’s be honest. That one play is not the only reason Alabama lost.
Alabama had to throw the ball there.
@@joelbrooks3198 Throw to number 5 out in the flat and its a TD. 2 Recivers to block 2 CBs and the LB is late coming over to cover the RB out in the flat. All we needed was a stop and couldn't get it.
All I can figure is the center has connections to some big money...
STOP MAKING EXCUSES!!! THIS IS THE SAME ALABAMA TEAM THAT PLAYED LIKE THIS ALL YEAR!!! THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE BEEN IN!!! ANYONE WHO THINKS THIS WAS A CLASSIC GAME….GOTS TO BE ON DRUGS🤨!!! IT WAS TWO AVERAGE TEAMS WITH BAD QBS PLAYING…AS MUCH AS THESE QBS KEPT PUTTING THEIR DEFENSES ON THE FIELD ALL GAME LONG SOMEBODY EVENTUALLY WAS GOING TO WEAR DOWN…SO STOP WITH THE 🧢!!!!
Hate to blame one guy but I’d put it more on the center than anyone else. That half a second to bend a grab the ball cost milroe all the timing and momentum to read that run effectively l. Regardless, lots of shit went wrong lmao
We need Milroe to work on his passing and reading defense coverages this off-season along with the offensive line putting in work.
Frfr. Hopefully that gets fixed next season.
Great season. Loved the close games. Can't wait til next season.
What difference does it really make?
@@apeacefulmindx 🤷♂what's your point? That they didn't score and that's all that matters?
@@matthensley6365 What was unclear about what I wrote?
@@matthensley6365 It just sounds like an excuse and really a moot point. If anything, the snap was too low, the pocket collapsed, and he "tripped" over his lineman because the Michigan defender tossed him into Milroe. The play was destined to fail, him tripping was a byproduct of the defense.
@@apeacefulmindx Maybe for an Alabama fan, but that's not what I am. I was happy to see them lose. I just don't understand why no one said anything about it (that I saw).
Couldn’t figure out why Milroe fell - no Michigan guy submarining - or why he stepped on his own tackle - but on rewatch #5 Josaiah Stewart Coastal Carolina transfer trucks ROT back 3 yards and no jump cut left for Milroe - instead Down Goes Frazier.
Every one score game - a dozen plays could have altered it - probably more - only difference is this was the FINAL altering play.
Stop crying Alabama Boy your team was beat like a drum at the line of scrimmage.
