This is footage from a trip to Ellison's Cave through a rarely traveled route to TAG Hall. It is amazing this exists on top of what is already in this awesome cave.
Smokey 1 and New Pit are South and Southwest of Fantastic pit. To access them, pass Fantastic Pit at the attic level heading South and the passage will open into a large room called "Smokey Pit" that slopes down to a ledge. Rappell the 40' drop at the ledge in Smokey pit and it lands in a tall canyon passage. Head left and you'll run right into the top of Smokey 1 pit. New Pit is located in an ancient/Paleo stream tube from a ledge in Smokey 2. Rappell about 65' into Smokey 2 and there's a prominent ledge. Swing off on this ledge and follow the stream tube passage. The first pit is the blind 109' and you'll have to traverse right over the middle of it. A couple of bends after it, you're at New Pit.
@@elliottmelissa8023 is Smokey 1 as impressive as Fantastic? I wish I would have went one more time to Ellisons and do a couple of these other drops. I never got to do the Incredible side either.
@@DokkenFan Smokey 1 Pit is a clean 500' free hang that lands close to the South end of TAG Hall. The walls are straighter and the diameter is less than Fantastic but yes, both Smokey 1&2 are otherworldly and impressive. I did Fantastic about 20 years ago. Where is Smokey 1 and New pit in relation to Fantastic?
