I am excited for Kentucky. Brock Vandagriff is a Georgia High School Legend. Dangerous receivers. physical run game culture. Deone Walker and Dumas- Johnson on defense as well.
Brock vandergriff has to be as advertised for 1, and this defense is a top 5 unit in the SEC maybe top 3. Barion Brown had a great freshman year, then struggled a bit as a sophomore last season, but started to come on late, and i have a feeling he is about to explode this season. Dane key is one of the best wide receivers in the country on 50/50 balls, they have a top 5 tight end unit in the SEC, the running back room is full of questions because their all unknown, but Chip Traynum is a physical specimen, Jason Patterson and Jamarion Wilcox both are star level running backs, and Tovani Mizell a freshman i think if not this season, definitely next season will be a problem at running back, i mean the oline is seasoned, Brock vandergriff man has a golden plate put in front of him. He has literally everything he needs to show out. If he does and this defense gets back to being one of the stronger units this team can be just as good if not better than the 2021 team that went 10-3.
Got a feeling that between the two quarterbacks and the running backs, Kentucky will be able to extend drives and keep a really deep defense fresh. Kentucky will be a handful this year.
My biggest concern is the O-Line. Even if Vandergrif isn’t that great, I think we have enough talent on Offense to win games if the line has improved. Especially with how good our defense looks this year.
And i may add in the secondary IMO Ty Bryant is gonna end up taking over the safety spot, he is sooo slept on and IMO could be an all American caliper player. He showed out when he got the opportunity, and if Jordan lovett doesn't get back to being as good as he was earlier in his career, im putting ty Bryant in that spot. And yeah the quarterback depth is in question, Wimsatt looks like he could be a good backup, but if Brock goes down that will be detrimental more than likely.
@@JoeBroback yessir and Grant Godfrey IMO could be one of the best linebacker recruits to come through UK in a while. If he plays this season he could be a name alot of people are going to learn. I was super excited when he committed a year ago. This defense should be the best defense stoops has had.
Don’t get me wrong Brock going down would be a huge hit just like any teams starting QB would be but we actually have a very capable back up this year unlike most years in the past. With the amount of talent we have on offense this year honestly we should just need a solid game manager and an offense that keeps our D off the field. Tired of seeing our great defenses get screwed by having to be on the field for an entire half. If Brock is more than a game manager and can bring high level talent at that position this could be one hell of a a year.
@@cordercorder8785 yeah I agree, although I don't really think Gavin wimsatt is a good backup, going back on what I said. Cutter Boley as a freshman is the best QB in the room other than Brock, maybe. Beau Allen Could be better than I think, but I watched him at Tarleton State and he was actually pretty good, just different in the SEC and IDK about his pocket awareness and ability to run out of the pocket.

Brock is by far the best right now but boley would be great to get him some reps. If it was too close I’d rather give it to boley to get him ready for next year or the following year. Only problem is throwing a freshman in to the monster that is the sec.

Kentucky should be very good if we have solid QB play.
Man that’s a lot of beef on that O-line. All over 300lbs and tall with long reach

I genuinely think they have a great defense. Questions lies with the QB and RB. OL looks solid and WR are talented.

Kentucky defense is old and they are lit they could be dangerous especially with pop and deon on The team
