Tom and Ryan, just a couple questions... I may have already ordered one. I regretted missing the GT20. Will the Wilson Combat 9rd 10mm magazines work with it? I know it is likely, just wanted confirmation. Is the takeup adjustment tool included in the box? What internal parts came from C&S? Looking forward to the GT30 or GT35, should they ever come about! Keep that after show going. The 3 hours of the regular show and the aftershow are my favorite podcasts when mowing the lawn! And yes, Michelle is the highlight at the end of 3 hours! I'm not a pro at identifying them, but if that's a 5513 on the wrist, that's a little icing on top of another nice piece of gear.
Good eye! That's a 5513 for sure! Very sleek and classic. It looks like it still has an original acrylic dome crystal (0:33), so I'm guessing it's from the late 60s. When I saw it, my oddball brain thought I wonder how many times it has been serviced? Judging by its age, I think Tom got it new, "back in the day".
Ten millimetre was definitely the way to go, for the commemorative special. That said, I think if I were to have something like this built for me at the Custom Shop, it would be in 9mm. I'm sure a 9mm commander would be as comfy as a soft kitten. :->
I have a commander 10mm colt delta elite and I bobbed it myself desert tan finish. I paid $829 slightly used w/full slide 10mm. GT25 don’t have what I got lol Wilson combat trigger, Ambidextrous safety, tactical rear site, G10 grips, Laserlyte grip laser, 4.25inch ramped bull barrel, Night sights rear green front Orange, 3 8rounder mags.
I too have a Colt Delta Elite, great pistol. This Ruger is well, a Ruger 1911 knock off with low capacity, high cost and visually unappealing to me (why the "silver" highlights). As for a back country defensive pistol I will stick with my Glock 40. Cheaper at half the price, lifetime warranty for whoever owns it, proven reliability, proven accuracy (5R), 15 rounds, ugly and can be used to drive tent stakes because it's a tool. More accessories available than for my Rubicon.
Minimum amount of info relayed in the review, sadly. How many magazines? Couldn't really see trigger operation / reset Would've helped to have seen the gun stripped down That being said, I see the attraction in a commander sized 10mm 1911
Worst video in the beginning you could possibly show... That pistol was jumping around in his hands like a stripper grabbing for dollar bills.. 'Nuff said!!!...
It’s not even Bobbed and no ambidextrous safety for left handed shooter I wouldn’t pay that much can convert any 5inch standard w/bushing 10mm pistol into commander carry 4.25inch no big deal and I m not even a professional lol I HAVE SKILLS KNOW HOW TO MASTER something using dremel pen and few Diamond bits, cutting wheels also I would bobtail it way way better. U guys make it sound like it’s end of metal gun production lol not a big fan of square trigger either. U notch on rear and night sights on front would be great I prefer Orange ring highly visible and laserlyte laser like I have on my commander bobbed Delta Elite w/Wilson combat ambi safety’s for lefty’s Mr Gun Talk LEARN something before advertising.
Beautiful 1911

It comes with 3 8-round magazines.
I think by the time you get all that information, they'll all be sold.
I want
That thing is stupid sexy. Just beautiful. AND 10 MM!!!!! YES YES YES!!!!! That trigger is really interesting. Different look but I like it.
They made less than 500. I'm pretty sure they made no more than around 300.
Hand lapped, “real simple”?? Hmm odd word choice
