My pleasure! Everyone is a bit different, everyone loves the chair zero and I never liked it 😂 If you think you might like this chair I would recommend trying it at REI or getting it there in case you need to return it. I love it, but again-it’s all subjective! Happy Trails!
Comfort is King! So glad you found a full featured chair that works for you for backpacking! Imo it's hard to beat the $50-75 REI Flexlite air chair but the footprint is a nice feature. Nice first look Melissa! Looking forward to your longer term review.
I sat in this at my local REI and I found it very comfortable as well. I saw where other (male) RUclipsrs were finding it uncomfortable, but that wasn’t the case for me one bit.
Interesting adjustments on the sides! I haven't seen that before. I video'ed RVA Hiker Girl at RRG this year playing Goldilocks, trying out everyone's camp chairs... it's a good way to try out chairs! 😆 Ruby looks cute with her coat growing in! 🥰🐕 Great video! 😁👊
thank you for the great review! wifey wants a chair, so I'm considering this one and also the thermarest trekker. Looks like you have tried the thermarest and you prefer this new Nemo. I will see if you have a review of the thermarest. It's several ounces lighter than the Nemo, but comfort is king. As you said, you're not going to take a chair on your trips if it's not comfortable!
I don’t think I ever made a review of the trekker chair. I use it when weight is a priority. I do not use it with a sleeping pad though. A friend is convinced it’s why her xlite pad started leaking. I line it but it is very hard to get in and out of without the sleeping pad inserted in it. I used it on a week long trip in CO and I’m glad I had it.
@@UnlikelyHiker thanks for getting back to me. yes, the trekker chair is probably not something you'd use when taking a break on the trail because you wouldn't want to get you sleeping pad out and inflate it. you'd probably use it only in camp and on layover days when you don't move camp. Looks like getting in and out of it is a problem, but for getting out you can just roll to the side and use you're hands to help you get up. But getting into it might be a big problem...
Great new chairs! The regular Moonlite (not elite that you have) is slighlty more comfortable to me. I spent too much time at REI sitting in all of them before picking it up. I'd been using a heavy knockoff because it was more comfortable than the Helinox or REIs version.
Great first look. But.....I don't think I will be trading in the Helinox chair zero for this one unless the helinox breaks......That said, I love Nemo as a company, and it does look like an awesome chair. ..I made a groundsheet that doubles as a carry case for my helinox years ago. Still going strong. Great video
@@UnlikelyHiker It has been so bad in the past that I had trouble hiking back out after a few days. I finally stopped taking it. I bought the new NEMO as well-I haven't taken it out yet, but I can tell that the hip squeeze won't seem to be an issue.
Thank you for this review! As a woman it's important for me to hear perspectives on comfort and fit from someone with a similar build.

Thanks! I look forward to getting use out if it this year!

Yes, I saw Steven (MLO) found it to poke his back. I find it quite perfect 😀
Great review and comparison with the helinox. Thanks for the shout out!
Thanks! You had some good points…I wanted to share them!

It is an interesting way to adjust it. Good way to test out all the chairs for sure lol. Ruby is overdue for a haircut!!!
Love it! I wasn’t shopping for a backpacking chair but I’ll probably put this on my list haha 😆
lol it is very comfortable! If there’s a REI near you check it out there! Free sit and see 😂

I definitely am enjoying this chair, but it still sits too low for my liking. I’m still a fan of the BA Skyline UL.
If that chair was a bit lighter and more compact I’d get it. Maybe for car camping it would be ok for me. I do love how this one reclines though!
Hmm. I might have to look into this. Thanks!
I’d suggest checking it out at REI just in case lol
Good review 👍 thank you so much! I did take it on a trip but for $197 It didn’t see the whole value 😂 Thank you for this video
Glad it was helpful!

I have a couple cheap knockoffs but those aren’t comfortable to me either 🤷🏼♀️

Didn’t you make a video about that? A case that rolls up and tucks in on itself? I wish I liked the Chair Zero, I just can’t lol
The Helinox Chair Zero kills my hips as well
Really? I’m glad to hear I’m not alone! 😂 I’ve never heard anyone else say that!
