Chopta is a small region of meadows and evergreen forest area, a part of Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary located in Uttarakhand state, India and a base for trekking to Tungnath, the third temple of Panch Kedar which lies 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) away. Located at a distance of 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) from Tungnath is Chandrashila, a summit rising to over 4,000 metres (13,000 ft).
Chopta is an unspoiled natural destination lying in the lap of the Uttarakhand Himalayas and offers views of the imposing Himalayan range including Trishul, Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba. It is located at an elevation of 2,709 metres (8,888 ft) above sea level. Chopta village is surrounded by forests of pine, deodar and rhododendron and is rich in flora and fauna including rare species of birds and musk deer.
Tungnath is the third Panch Kedar Temple among famous Panch Kedar Temples. Himanshu Tripathi accompanied me in this beautiful trek which starts from Chopta, which is called mini Switzerland of India because of its magnificent meadows, covering Tungnath Temple, and ends at Chandrashila viewpoint.

Hi✨✨🌿🌿 What a coincidence... 😊 Last week we stayed in Hotel Mountain View in Sari, and same room, which you showed😁 it was a comfortable stay and felt like home, cause people are very warm and welcoming. I had rajma ( which they grew in their farm) and Ram kerela sabji with ragi chapati, this menu was from host's home🤗.👍🏻✨✨🌿🌿

This year in March we visited uhkimath there we stayed in madhuganga resort bit expensive but a good one we went to sari village too probably we ha refreshments at lucky bhaiya s restaurant we tried for devriataal too but cud not treck we just walked a km and came back may be we don't have stamina like u

I think you have trevelled a lot. Your intention are very clear to give all the information as also the things required for travelling. I am 80 + and am a big fan of our country and travelling. From LADAKH to Kanyakumari and Dwarka to Shillong lucky to travel as also tracking Amaranth Hemkund to name. Yet I feel now all facilities are available for which we used to starve. You style of describing motivates me even and my wife also looked eager, to pick up my I -10 and leave. Chopta was barren in 1998 and the 180 degree Himalayas was a treat. अब का पता नहीं पर जब वंहा कस्तूरी मृग होते थे। थोड़ा लब्मा हो गया बुढापे का जयदा बोलने का दोष पर आप इस mission में लगे रहिये दुनिया का भला होगा । All the very best .Good wishes.
