    Why did you choose 63 volts?

      No reason, if you have a lower voltage AC source, you can use it and do the math the same way. I used 63v because my step down transformer has that output.

    You still don't know how many watts it will handle before meltdown.

      there is a way to guesstimate the power rating according to the circuit it came from. but like i said, it's guesstimation !
