- Super Mario Gravity is a modification to Super Mario Galaxy 2, featuring brand new galaxies. This mod will feature over 30 galaxies and will be playable legally on any homebrew-enabled Wii or Wii U console.

I never thought I’d see a Mario Galaxy mod with the same level of polish, uniqueness, story telling, and originality as Mario 64 Last Impact.

The custom animations look a bit rough, but besides that, this is a damn impressive looking hack. Looking forward to it!
This mod has broken through a particular boundary feel that one shouldn't take lightly; this is legitimately Nintendo-standard work you've done here, and you're mostly on your own. Words cannot describe how impressive that accomplishment is, keep up the stellar (no pun intended) work.
Edit: Please stop making comparisons to other modifications in the replies. I can enjoy this mod and also enjoy whatever mod you personally like most, this isn’t a competition. All mod work deserves to be commended, making it a competition isn’t beneficial to anyone or anything.
@@deathpallie To be fair Nintendo usually only steps in for fan games and situations that they view as taking money away from them (piracy and whatnot); assuming this mod will be a patch they can’t really do much, CTGP Revolution is far more well-known as a mod just due to the time it has existed for and Nintendo hasn’t done much with that.

I don’t know how to play mod’s , but I may try this mod out in the Future.
Just a reminder of how much Louis has done: 30 galaxies is more than every main galaxy in the Comet Observatory.

The trailer and music bring back fond memories of a time when Nintendo was still the benchmark for game quality.

You guys are acting like as if the game was only recently announced when in reality the announced of Prime 4 has even outlived the lifespan of the Wii U.
@@aquamanbeforehewascool5347 Well, you still have botw 2, what im trying to say is they are still able to make great games, i mean look at the mario 3d world expansion, and animal crossing.
I would bet money on Metroid Prime 4 never being released. And I doubt we'll even get so much as a few second trailer before it's officially cancelled. And tbh, the game would probably suck majorly if it ever came out anyway. The old Retro Studios who made the original games are long gone and now work for companies that make games on consoles that aren't twenty years behind modern standards.
And it hurts to say this because Metroid is my favorite game franchise of all time.
Also, Dread was the definition of 'meh'. Now THAT felt like a fan game, especially in terms of production values.
As for Zelda, I haven't been enamored with the series since OoT and Majora's Mask. I feel that every game afterwards has been hugely overrated. So I have like, zero hype for BotW2, other than seeing how they redesign Ganondorf again.
@@goncaloguimaraes4185 If you also consider unfinished and content poor games and overpriced ports as "great games" then yes. But I kind of agree with you, compared to the other big gaming scums of today, Nintendo is still the one where it is the most likely that a great game is coming out. But I personally found the Nintendo under Iwata much better and much more likeable than the one under Kimishima and Furukawa.

Very professional-looking mod. The camera angles and variety of level design give a strong impression of polish and a sense that corners weren’t cut in order to ship it. Wonderful!

This looks genuinely amazing, though I am a little bit skeptical about that design for the ship's captain. It looks more like something from Dr. Seuss than a Mario game.

While I'm guessing it wasn't intentional, seeing Mario fall off the ship and into the abyss at the end of the trailer made me chuckle. I can just imagine him yelling "YOU DIDN'T GIVE ME A SEAT BEEEEELLLLLLT!" as he falls, or the driver arriving at the new galaxy and looking behind him to talk to Mario only to notice that he isn't there anymore.

Dude I remember playing my Wii and all of those times I laughed and good moments, all thanks to SMG1 and 2,and seeing this, just makes me want to cry since this looks like a SMG3, so I'm playing it, for the old times, also you are the best, and I just have to thank you if this comes out, for giving my old childhood the thing he always hoped would come official, thank you :)

Ever since I first played Mario Galaxy in 2008, it's been my favorite game of all time. After SMG2, I really wanted more, so seeing this mod makes me immensely happy. Good shit, you should be proud of what you've created since it looks amazing.
When Nintendo sends you a Cease & Desist, are you willing to battle them in court to argue that fangames and mods are legal and fair use?

Wow, just wow, it's absolutely insane to see this much custom stuff in any game mod, let alone something for galaxy, and even more impressively, it all looks incredibly fun to play, I cant wait to see future development for this project and future ones
I've followed a lot of fan projects in the past, and sadly, every one as promising as this one always gets shut down by Nintendo before it's even released. The only ones that succeed are the ones that release all the code and assets to the game as public domain on a torrent or google drive for anyone to pick up and keep going with even if they're shut down themselves, or if they don't even announce that the game is being made until it's already done and ready to download. As much as I'd love to be excited for this and to play this, I know that most likely, Nintendo will shut it down before it's done and we'll never get to play it. 😔

That guy piloting the ship looks like the result of taking an obscure character from the super show or something and a fan artist trying to modernize it to the same standard as the in-game character designs. I like him quite a bit.

I been waiting for this game for 15 years, I don't care if this is a fangame, I HAVE to play this game
I’ve always thought a Galaxy 3 would be redundant. Nintendo usually likes to put their most innovative concepts to the forefront and not dawdle over old ones. Galaxy 2 was a rare exception and only made possible through being an over-ambitious DLC project.
I bring all this up because although I think Nintendo may have exhausted the concept, I believe there’s still a lot left fans can expand upon with the assests Nintendo already made. I’ve played a bunch of SM64, SMW and NSMBWii hacks that do this, and although many of them are creative in their own right, it gets tiresome and limiting working with those same gimmicks in those three games. Galaxy has loads of untapped potential by the fan community, and I’m ecstatic to finally see the blossoming efforts that hacking has led to. I’ve seen a few different projects be announced only to be dropped in past years (anyone remember SMG2.5?) but I’m hopeful for this one. It seems like a lot of work has been put into this project so far, it looks extremely promising and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a release-no matter how long it may take.

@@lemonke3774 his laptop, what he was making this on, died in around august, and with it all of his logins (except for his Google account, which isn’t linked to this I don’t think)
Development is still going as he stored stuff on separate hard drives, but yeah, it’s fine
