‘Dominating the game’ and then eventually winning isn’t ‘riding your luck’. Had the Czech won, that would have been riding luck.
If Portugal rode their luck, so did England and France, well, obviously Belgium didn't have any luck..

Ride their luck? Czechia Goalkeeper is the only reason this game wasn't a blow out. Someone should give that goalkeeper a raise
First Portugal goal/CZ own goal was party GK fault, the shot was not that fast to box it out and he box it to CZ defender,
2nd goal of Portugal came right after clear faul on CZ Doudera on the other side of the pitch witch referee didn’t saw.
And two defenders and GK slipped on wet pitch during the action.
So yeah, Portugal played better game and were in control, Stanek did some very good catches (especially Ronaldo in the beginning) and defensively it was a good match from CZ but yeah both of portugal goals were with a good amount of luck.
@richardfaist1254 agreed but Stanek was more involved stopping more possible goals especially at minute 31, 45 and I think it was 72. Like Czechia at the end had like a total of 5 shots for the game other than the goal only 1 was on target. Plus for most of the game the team basically parked the whole aquad in their half content with defending

@richardfaist1254 true but like I said Czechia was content with putting the entire squad behind the ball that made just the final act of attack lacking but as you said they controlled the game for the most part and kept the pressure and got the necessary goals

the last goal should not have counted as Semedo fouled Doudera but wasn't counted for some reason, and Portugal got it and scored from that play, if Czech had a free there it would have ended 1-1 or even, they might have scored from it, poor decision by ref again

@tiagofreitas1976 ref did miss a lot of fouls by both teams but when it mattered he really made sure to look away. And who was fouling at that time? Not the CZ you doughnut
I agree. It helped that the Italian referee was one sided. The play where the Chzech player gets crosschecked to the face should've been a red card. At least get it checked.
