From a ropework instructor, well done. The two strand all the way up technique for 8 strand splicing shown by Sampson is not my cup of tea. This is how i teach it.
Great video for explaining the pattern and direction of the lay. 👍 But I don't understand why you keep them in pairs for the first set of tucks. I've always started with 8 singles for either an eye or a join splice. Cheers 🍻
