I used to use Hunt Mapping and Crowquill nibs and a very cheap school mapping pen that had amazing flexibility and it didn't matter if they broke because they could be bought by the handful! I don't work any more but still try to keep up to date with what younger illustrators are up to.

The ink appears to be quite grey - has it been diluted? That's a nice pen nib, too. What brand do you use?
It just looks like that in the video, but the ink is not diluted.
I use a NIKKO nib number 357.

What is the nib size of your dip pen? is that 0.5mm or 0.2mm?
The dip pen I use has no concept of size, but depending on how much pressure you use, you can draw lines ranging from 0.01mm to 1mm.
