I followed this case since Dan was killed. When I saw Charlie was arrested, I cried, and I cried again when a jury found him guilty. Thank you so much to Georgia Cappleman, Sarah Dugan, the jury and everyone else who made this happen. This is not over.

This trial was fascinating I've watched the trial videos a number of times and the testimony was riveting and like watching a train wreck when charlie and wendi were trying so hard to be convincing.
I find it very hard to swallow that Wendi was not involved. After hearing her police interview, it was pretty pathetic. No one who’s been treated as badly by her ex as she says she was, so much so that she left him while he was out of town taking all their possessions with her, would immediately sob uncontrollably at hearing he’s dead. And continue to sob through the whole interview, except when talking to the police about how badly he treated her. I’ve heard enough of these interviews to spot fake grief when I hear it. She stood to greatly benefit from his death.
I don’t think he was so mad. He was doing it for his sister, and even more, for his mom, who was obsessed with defeating Dan and now he’d even filed a motion to prevent her having unsupervised visitation with her grandchildren. Charlie was the family “fixer” and he was wealthy and entitled and enjoyed staying connected to people “from the other side of the tracks.” I don’t get the sense Charlie was particularly passionate.
I think one of the biggest circumstancial proof of guilt against Charlie is he was telling his mom on the wiretap "if your being threatened, go to the police". He said that several times. Well, wasn't Charlie's story is he was being threatened? He would've gone immediately to the police if his story was true.

Donna was hip to the game they were running. She knew that guy was an agent, and was very likely being recorded. She finessed that VERY well.

This trial was fascinating I've watched the trial videos a number of times and the testimony was riveting and like watching a train wreck when charlie and wendi were trying so hard to be convincing.
I find it very hard to swallow that Wendi was not involved. After hearing her police interview, it was pretty pathetic. No one who’s been treated as badly by her ex as she says she was, so much so that she left him while he was out of town taking all their possessions with her, would immediately sob uncontrollably at hearing he’s dead. And continue to sob through the whole interview, except when talking to the police about how badly he treated her. I’ve heard enough of these interviews to spot fake grief when I hear it. She stood to greatly benefit from his death.

I don’t think he was so mad. He was doing it for his sister, and even more, for his mom, who was obsessed with defeating Dan and now he’d even filed a motion to prevent her having unsupervised visitation with her grandchildren. Charlie was the family “fixer” and he was wealthy and entitled and enjoyed staying connected to people “from the other side of the tracks.” I don’t get the sense Charlie was particularly passionate.

I think one of the biggest circumstancial proof of guilt against Charlie is he was telling his mom on the wiretap "if your being threatened, go to the police". He said that several times. Well, wasn't Charlie's story is he was being threatened? He would've gone immediately to the police if his story was true.
