LMFAOOOOO I joined HelloTalk YEARS ago actually but I deleted the app for awhile & once Covid hit and things started shutting down slowly I started just talking to people who were all facing the same issues of lockdown and loneliness. I met one of my best friends on HelloTalk as well! It was a work trip not through hello talk but with another company and whilst I had like 2 friends in Chicago at the time I wanted to meet someone who was willing to be not only a friend to grab coffee with but explore the city with as well. That was my main reason for messaging Yoo because he had his location turned on. When my work collab fell through cause of Covid we just kept in contact but at this point we were on HelloTalk anymore but on KakaoTalk.
