My favorite fruits are Manggis (Malay) or Mangosteen (English) and you both miss the buah Tarap. Buah Tarap only available in Borneo. Next time both of you are in Sabah, try buah Tarap if you can find one. As for the Durian, there's a lot of variety of Durian. Musang King is the most famous one and delicious (according to people). Here are some local Sabah foods that both of you can try on. Hinava / Kinava (this only Marisa can eat. Tim please don't 😅) it's a raw fish meat mix with lime and shallot. Linopot is a rice that is wrapped using leaf and the rice is not ordinary rice. The rice is a Padi Bukit or Padi Huma. The rice grows using less water and normally on the hills side hence the name Padi Bukit (Padi = Paddy, Bukit = Hills) and if you guys are adventurous enough? Try eat Bu'tot (either alive or dead) when I mentioned dead, it means already cooked 😅 Anyway, I hope the two of you are fine and thanks for the video (episode). Stay safe and healthy.

Stingray bones, if you can chew it, you can just eat it. They're soft bones, like the one in chicken ribs. There are big bones though, and that one is usually super tough to chew, so you can just ditch that. And for the other Americans watching, don't worry, ray fish is not endangered species over here. Still have plenty of them.
there are so many varieties of durians. some are good (usually the expensive ones) and some are not worth to try. unfortunately the one that you had 27:00 doesn't look very and good and fresh. when you come to Peninsular Malaysia, I'd suggest you to look for Black Thorn, Musang King, IOI or D24 variety 😁
@@2UpAndOverloaded one more thing about Durian... Durian is a very "social" fruit where you don't really enjoy having it alone (for Durian lovers that is 😅) as much as having it with a group of people, (or at least with another person). I'm not sure of any other fruit that able to do that
Durian - I'm glad I tried it. I think I could acquire a taste for it. When we move to Malaysia next year - I will be trying it again. Looking forward to seeing Kuching again.

Durian is a fruit that people either love or hate. For those who grew up eating it, durian becomes a beloved delicacy they often crave. The tastiest durian is often considered to come from Thailand, especially varieties like ``Monthong'' and ``Chanee,'' are popular for their sweetness and low bitterness

😅😆...you westerners hate Durian just like how we Asians hate Blue Cheese.
🤣 I hate blue cheese as well! 🤣 🤢
That's a generalisation. There are durian lovers and haters from both westerners and easterners. But the majority of lovers are from regions or countries where durian is a common local fruit where it's part of their culture.
Sorry the durian fruit is not fresh.
Anyone tell you, your husband/boyfriend looks a bit like Kevin Richardson from backstreet boys? 😅😂 Maybe yes maybe not, but he gives me a "vibe" of him. Like i relate them together when i first see him.
🤣 That's awesome to hear! I will pass that on to Tim and I am sure your comment will make his day!
