Animators came together to redo their parts for YOU and for YOUR enjoyment. We did not have to do this. By saying the original is better, you are actively saying that the artist's old work is better than their new work; which isn't a good thing to hear. This idea was the first of it's kind: having a reanimated project with the original animators. Given some of the abhorrent comments we've received on both videos, I find it highly unlikely others would attempt the same thing.
Seen the old one before the new one released i compared them and the newer version looks better for some reason but both were good sorry to confuse you (edit:im just saying the new design looks good but both are wonderful do come for and correct me if I'm wrong i did see a few mistakes from my point of view in the older version) and 1:09 when sandstorm throws firestar/heart away from her i laughed so hard

It was surprising, but 1, Dustpelt wanted to be Sandstorm's mate, so it wouldn't make sense for him to be supporting her decision, and 2, Cinderpelt was to one to tell Firestar that Sandstorm liked him.
OMG I REMEMBER THIS MAP! i would watch it all the time because i loved it and i was going through a hard time. Im going through another hard time, and i found this, and im so happy im crying I love both versions, i cant choose a favorite😢 Thank you, saturnskyez, and all these animators, for bringing this into my life❤😊
it is so amazing and inspiring to see the improvements made over the years. One of the biggest things I noticed was the framing/camera movements. The experience the artists have gained have seriously improved the quality of the MAP
This Map includes several of my favorite animators and a few friends. I love this map to bits. I’m so glad it was remade XD. It also helped me meet several of my friends and made me who I am today. Love it
The both animations are AMAZING!! Now pls don’t delete this, but I’m a sucker for the 2008-2012 style and the old one is a representation of it imo, so i personally like the style of the old one and the skill and improvement of the newer one. They both are good in their own ways.
I think there are a few parts from the old one that were done so incredibly well, but it really is cool to see the improvement over the people who came back to redo their parts.

You definitely can see the difference on how the animators have changed! They have grown and gotten better and their work has a more advanced look to it! Not gonna lie, 2021's version is very good as well, just pointed how much the animators have gone in only a few years.

I love how you can tell who didn’t redo their parts, wether they decided not to because they’re onto new styles or things in general or even if they just disappeared for whatever reasons Mostly, I love the growth the animators had along the way!

Hello, I'm here to do something a little... Different? I'll mark each part of the map and I'll give my opinion on it, if I think the new version is better than the old version, let's get started. (my opinion) Old better for me:💚 New better for me:💙 Both are perfect (indecision?):❤️ No changes:🖤 ( *ALERT: BIG TEXT!!!* ) *Intro /* 0:00 (💚)I really like the old intro better, I like the way FireHeart and SandStorm move, but the new version is also great especially the expressions. *Part 1* / 0:06 (💙)In the old version, the characters moved a little slowly and it made everything a little strange, In the new version all the composition of movements has improved and everything seems to flow better. *Part 2* / 0:15 (❤️) I love how fast the characters move in the old version, even if the movements are kind of exaggerated. In the new version, the art style has changed a lot, the hairs and lines make everything beautiful and the movement is excellent. *Part 3* / 0:25 (💙) The best thing about the old version is the movement when speaking, but otherwise everything is quite simple, in the new version both the stroke, the movement and the light have improved a lot. *Part 4* / 0:35 (❤️) The improvement in the stroke and movement of the animation is very good, the new version is almost the same as the first one, but prettier, in my opinion. *Part 5* / 0:47 (💚) The new version is more fluid than the first one and that gives it a really nice charm, but I prefer the old version, especially the "make It stop, am i real or just a prop?" part, because of the drawing xp *Part 6* / 0:57 (🖤) (No changes) But I love the half-square ArtStyle and the colors used, it's really pretty, and also the movement. *Part 7* / 1:07 (🖤) (No changes).I really like the movement and the extremely high number of frames per second, it must have taken a long time to do and the result was really good. *Part 8* / 1:17 (💚) In the old version the drawing style was very disproportionate, the muzzle of SandStorm and FireHeart was very strange, Already in the new version everything is more proportional, I prefer the movement of the first version, but I have to say that the second one is more... I like a few parts of the OG more, mainly the little flower scene. I think that’s adorable. But it’s amazing to see how much talent these artists have. They’ve clearly grown so well and both versions are awesome. I don’t know why some people are hating on the new version. It’s different because they’ve grown and learned. Art styles change, new techniques are learned, and while it is always good to look at your past work with pride because it’s your best work of the time, it’s also super important to appreciate how far you’ve come. I’m a digital artist and while I love the artwork I made a few years ago and I do sell it on my website with pride, I still love seeing how much I’ve improved. It makes me proud and feel accomplished. Like my hard work was worth it. Like learning all of those techniques and shortcuts and skills was worth it. I’m proud of the steadier hand I’ve gotten, and seeing that I successfully learned how to make colors more appealing together, and doing better with shading to show light angles, and remaking my old art to fix the things I missed back then, and putting my new art style into those older works to make something new. I love seeing it all. And it would really hurt to see or hear people saying that my old work is better. Because that takes away some of the pride you have in your current work and how far you’ve come. It’s like “oh…I guess it’s not as good as I thought…I was so sure I did better. I put in so much time and work to do better. How does it sound like I went backwards?“ That’s really sucky to think. Both versions are amazing. They *are* different. But the reason they’re different is because artists change over time as they learn and experiment and go through trial and error with every art project they do. And we should celebrate that because releasing this is them saying “look at this. I’m so proud of the work we made together. I’m so proud that we were able to take something we’ve already done amazingly and make it newer and different and add more detail, movement, and depth. Isn’t this so cool?” The answer is yes! It is extremely cool to see! That’s what we should be telling them! 🩵 From one artist to several others: I’m so sorry to those of you who were told anything negative. You all did amazing in both versions of the video. Don’t let the haters get you down. It’s clear that you’ve grown, changed your art styles a bit, learned from the past couple years, and are proud of where you’re at now. As you should be. Keep up the amazing work and I can’t wait to see what you all create next 🩵

It makes me proud and feel accomplished. Like my hard work was worth it. Like learning all of those techniques and shortcuts and skills was worth it. I’m proud of the steadier hand I’ve gotten, and seeing that I successfully learned how to make colors more appealing together, and doing better with shading to show light angles, and remaking my old art to fix the things I missed back then, and putting my new art style into those older works to make something new. I love seeing it all.
And it would really hurt to see or hear people saying that my old work is better. Because that takes away some of the pride you have in your current work and how far you’ve come. It’s like “oh…I guess it’s not as good as I thought…I was so sure I did better. I put in so much time and work to do better. How does it sound like I went backwards?“ That’s really sucky to think.
Both versions are amazing. They *are* different. But the reason they’re different is because artists change over time as they learn and experiment and go through trial and error with every art project they do. And we should celebrate that because releasing this is them saying “look at this. I’m so proud of the work we made together. I’m so proud that we were able to take something we’ve already done amazingly and make it newer and different and add more detail, movement, and depth. Isn’t this so cool?” The answer is yes! It is extremely cool to see! That’s what we should be telling them!
🩵 From one artist to several others: I’m so sorry to those of you who were told anything negative. You all did amazing in both versions of the video. Don’t let the haters get you down. It’s clear that you’ve grown, changed your art styles a bit, learned from the past couple years, and are proud of where you’re at now. As you should be. Keep up the amazing work and I can’t wait to see what you all create next 🩵
