Does Elin take for nausea? I’m on eight milligrams of Zofran (odansetron). There’s a liquid, a pill, and a dissolvable tablet. I use the dissolvable tablets, and they’re miraculous. I have non epileptic seizures, and low dose naltrexone has been miraculous for me. It doesn’t totally eliminate my seizures, but I’ve gone from twenty to thirty a day and some lasting for half an hour or more to a maximum of five or six on a bad day, and they last less than thirty seconds now. It has ant epileptic properties, as well as being useful for non epileptic seizures too.
A G-J tube should be able to be placed with just endoscopy, if someone already has a G tube. They should be able to just endoscopically add the 'J' extension portion part of the tube, to convert the G tube to a G-J one! No surgery needed! There are a few exceptions as to why I can't be done that way, and would need a whole new tube but that's pretty rare. And as far as I know from the info you've given in videos, Elin doesn't have any conditions that'd mean the endoscopy method wouldn't work. If it hadn't been discussed, then please do ask about if surgery truly is needed for the Gj, and check that endoscopy method is ruled out. Some docs prefer to stick to doing things the way they're used to (such as, if they usually do GJs surgically not endoscopically) and I've had multiple similar situations where I was able to avoid surgery/have a, simpler procedure, all because I knew what questions to ask. It shouldn't be this way but sadly it often is! (especially with gastro docs for some reason, from my experience anyway!)
