Thank you, Tim and staff, for all your dedicated help in our plea for a COLA and stipend. Keeping us informed of its progress has been a great help to our anxiety about the progress of the bills through the legislature.

I’m very grateful for all,of your hard & persistent work to help all of us retirees! I’m one of those retirees that have waited 20 years for a Cola increase. I am holding my breath & hope this truly passes in November! Thank you & very appreciative.

Also why do the citizens vote for the approval of our increases . That makes us very nervous that people will
Not understand and they will think their school taxes go up ! We need to prove to them that , that is not true !

Because of the amount of money that would be spent on the COLA ($3.2 B). It requires voter approval. The supplemental checks, however, do not rquire it.

I realize all retired teachers are suffers from inflation , even the earlier retirees. However , those that retired before 2000 have extremely suffered . We have not had a COLA since 2001 . Therefore , we are living in the same salary for 22 years . We are all hurting and have had to dip into savings .

Thank you so very much for your dedication to retirees. I am disheartened that the governor is truly holding the stipend hostage because of differences with Lt Gov. I too retired 2001 and am in dire financial straits line so many others. 😢
