@tbarsness13 YOU Are SO Right - I will never forget that 1986-87 team - a few have gone on to the big Arena in the sky - and Beisy is right there watching them too - this was one of my most treasured moments - was that year - missed 3 home games - watched them win the WCHA championship and the Divisional NCAA playoffs to go to the JOE :) where they WON IT ALL :) from the Hrkac Circus to Eddie The Eagle :) they will live forever in the memories of Sioux Fans (old enough to REMEMBER) :)
its disipointing they have to change their name and its even worse what they might switch it to cuz i heard they might go back to the old name the UND flickertails...to bad they couldnt keep fighting sioux
That song was probably the most cheesiest yet at the same time funniest song I've ever listened to lol. "FIGHT ON....FIGHTING SIOUX!" ^_^ Good clips though.
The song is kick ass pure and simple. Think about it, ONE man recorded this himself with 1987 tech. It's well written, well produced, great lyrics. It's good. The title is merely a broad or vague non sequitur.
I was just about to totally agree with and like my own comment from a year ago. Lol. The old Ralph was way cooler. It LOOKED like a hockey arena, not a shopping mall. The aluminum exterior totally made the place loud. The fans weren't as subdued back then with rules and security. It was crazy. It was great.
I love this video! It brings back great memories of the best Fighting Sioux team ever! Thanks for sharing!!!
Games in the old stadium used to rock the house. The new palace is unreal, but sometimes I miss the old days.
The old place only held less than 8k but sounded louder and was more chaotic than the new "palace" they play in.
Gotta love the 80s thanks for posting that vintage clip
This is pure gold.
Awesome....just Awesome!! Thanx for posting!!
The best Sioux team ever, and arguably the best NCAA team ever. Fight on Fighting Sioux!
Dream team
haha...wdaz still uses this music..someone should tell them it is not 1987 anymore
HNIC used the same theme for far longer than this has existed.
Sioux forever!!!!!🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒
RIP Mr Jim Beiswenger.
Now that is one cool vid.

Its so bad that its good.
The fact that they could have remade this song for this year makes me sad
wow...sweeney hasn't aged too well...i too want this for my iPod.
Any of the Fighting Sioux from 1986-1987 team played in the NHL ?
Hrkacand Belfour are the two best
Best collegiate team EVER.
More like Slap bass heavy hockey.
i was expecting actual metal music...
Alex, i'll take dictionary definitions for 1,000, please.
The answer is "So bad, it's good."
*Contestant rings in*
"What is Heavy metal hockey?"
LOL
the music uses what i call the "sienfeld instrument"
Years before Seinfeld. Original style, well written, better than nearly ever team song I ever heard.
Bob Joyce you control the boards !!
Kidd wants to go to Detroit too !!
And those CANADIANS.. This is great stuff lol..
this video kicks @ss. sioux are gonna get #8 in '08.
I wear Sioux green and you apparently wear the green of jealousy. Sad, very sad. GO SIOUX!!!
the term "heavy metal" was thrown around very loosely in th 80's, obviously.
what are they going to do with the old Ralph Engelstad? awesome vid
It was torn down years ago. It was way louder and cooler than the new shopping mall they call "the Ralph" now. It was a great arena.

Is that pat sweney?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh haha, this is great. Hilarious. It's so lame and bad it's good. They should remake this song. Seriously.
It needs no remake.
UND has never been much good at anything
