I love how creepy and unsettling this video is, the mind of a murderer is not a simple one, and this video is so off putting and confusing, it actually feels like we’re peering into the mind of William and watching him slowly rocket closer to insanity

That scene broke my heart because he took it from the box named " Mom"(which may resemble his mother's stuff)and fall on the floor listening to it like that. it may resemble that he was missing his mother a lot and his children dying and him suffering and him being blamed like that made him be that cripplingly depressed.

This is expertly done. William was certainly a man with problems and his obsession with his work, and creating animatronics caused his family to fall apart. I like to think the designs of the suits weren't evil in nature. Like for instance the programming of making sure the endoskeletons have suits on (possibly to make sure that the children don't hide in the suits or accidently get crushed by exposed endoskeleton parts, or the sister location animatronics specific designs (baby's scoop and Freddy's stomach container). I like to think those actually served a protective feature, like fail-safes to protect the children. If there was a fire or an emergency and the path needed to be cleared, baby could break through walls or clear debris. Freddy could put the kids inside his body and take them to safety. I think William lost his mind when his children died, because of his own creations. He blamed himself for it and it drove him to madness, luring children away to kill them and (somehow) fused them with the animatronics, possibly in an attempt to give his children (who he had to know were possessing the animatronics) friends. However, killing them only turned them vengeful and in the process William became the monster. Fearing his own life, he took safety inside the spring lock suit to escape the spirits only for it to fail and end his own life the same way his decisions ended the lives of so many others. His torment and rage keeps his spirit bound to the suit, he can't forgive himself, so he can never move on. I think that's what Scott was trying to go for. All the other spirits are freed, but Baby, William, and Michael are still "Alive". What if Michael wants to find his father, not to take vengeance per say, but to finally let go and move on from the torment.
That's a cute theory but definitely not. William is a smart man he knew what he was doing when he made those animatronics to lure in children. The only time he got upset about it is when his children got caught up in his creation. He's not regretful of his actions he's regretful of Golden Freddy keeping him alive

This is just so well done, this even brought tears to my eyes. Even he, a dangerous murderer, can still have feelings, we can see him trying to end his life yet he can't. But most of all, he even lies down to sleep while listening to soft music.

I love the Scraptrap redesign at the end. It's so much better than Scott's design and its more realistic. Looks more similar to the actual Spring Bonnie.
This shows that Afton was just a man who was a maniac but just couldn't control it and had to kill because it's something he can't stop doing. His memories are what keep him sane, and he hardly had happy days since he was usually always negative and killing. At 10:46 Afton sees something from the box labled 'mom' and he takes out a music box. He listens to it and calms down a lot. It kept him sane as it was a loving memory of his wife. He falls asleep due to the calming music. Afton is just a man with a warm-hearted soul but just really cold and violent on the outside. Edit: There are a few comments questioning and correcting me. Thank you for telling me better about the story of him. It's been awhile since I've watched FNAF, so some things haven't settled back in yet.

I think the closest thing we’re ever going to get to see William as an actual LIVING human and not as a reanimated corpse is the Spring Bonnie suit or Glitchtrap suit, it’s about as human looking it can get in Scott’s style… because to be fair, Scott isn’t the best at making human models… just humanoid robots.
Well, he’s working with a company now. Maybe one of them can make a human model that fits in the world while still looking like a person and not... Sit and survive.
That scene with the music box hits on a whole other level, especially if you consider the theory that the loss of Crying Child was the catalyst to William becoming the monster he was.

This is an insanely well made concept, William realizing the damage he's caused, the things he had done to the children, and the Puppet finally showing forgiveness towards Aften knowing that he's just a poor broken soul (or he at least is imagining it), its truly sad how all of this occurred because of his children dying which drove him to insanity hoping to give his children friends by killing others.

Maybe it was not his true goal, maybe he just wanted to bring his children back, but failed to do so and things went horribly wrong.

This is amazingly done! I interpret this as William Afton exploring his past and remembering all of his wrongdoings. After thirty years of loneliness and time to process his entire life in this cycle of death, mourning, vengeance, and confusion, he comes to regret all of his actions. He tries to take his own life numerous times to cease his pain, but he cannot, as he lacks the ability to die, I believe, as a form of punishment for the killings. So, he visits his past, reminding himself of everything he did, realizing that he went from killing out of grief to killing out of satisfaction, which led to his psychopathic traits. As if to try and repent for his immoral works, he kills his past self repeatedly. I believe Charlotte was spectating him to truly determine whether he was genuinely remorseful or not, and I believe that when she witnesses him killing himself multiple times, she soon finds it in herself to forgive him for all the chaos he had caused. This is a phenomenal animation! Keep it up! God bless!

This is one of the best and unique SFMs in fnaf community so far. Instead of showing us damn psycho who would overcome death just to continue harming everything on his way or to get his revenge, like everyone else does, you actually showed us, I'm not afraid of this word, a Normal person. Yes, he most probably did kill those children, but you showed us something we would never get from any other Fnaf SFM - murder's emotions. Real ones, not romantic. You can clearly see him shaking 7:54. He does not feel safe after killing people and he does not know if he can get away with that. He's afraid of his consequences. And even after being revived and finding safety, he does not want to continue this. He's tired. At least until the end. This deserves much more popularity in fnaf community.

seeing this in 2021 after EVERYTHING I've seen and heard about this iconic character... When he went into one of his parent's boxes and laid down with the music box... I won't lie it made me feel sorry for the man, Then the memory of him being a child murderer quickly nullified that feeling (Not to mention the fact that he tried killing himself multiple times) This is just sad but also well deserved on his end. (There is a limit to how far a punishment can go before it is called revenge.)

This is a truly broken man. After so long trapped inside the safe room...30 years...and I don't doubt the springlocks still hurt...and he just wants to finally die for good. He misses his family, his humanity, but he knows that's something he can never get back, and so he gets a new, even more broken suit, just to make himself weaker and more likely to die.
I still can’t feel any pity for William Afton, he’s done some truly horrendous things and still came back to continue doing it, even after his death. But still I can empathize, in the sense that, he looks like he’s feeling immeasurable loss in this, like his whole life came crashing down. He still deserves hell but I can tell that there’s just the smallest amount of regret within him. Almost like he wants to go back and make sure none of this ever happened.

Even though William was an evil person, at some point in his life, something or someone caused him to turn out the way that he did. At some point, I'd love to have an origin story to William Aftons childhood, so we could learn what made him the way he is now. Until then, we only know what he did, rather than know what made him the man that we all know.

There's no doubt that there's good in him, even though he's crazy. At first, the story of the whole game seemed terrible, but when you see the storyline, which is much deeper than the serial games, you feel that the story is sad, sorry for everyone, even William and Michael.

This is an insanely well made concept, William realizing the damage he's caused, the things he had done to the children, and the Puppet finally showing forgiveness towards Aften knowing that he's just a poor broken soul (or he at least is imagining it), its truly sad how all of this occurred because of his children dying which drove him to insanity hoping to give his children friends by killing others.
He probably just wanted to be to be immortal, but I'm not sure, the lore is confusing.

Maybe it was not his true goal, maybe he just wanted to bring his children back, but failed to do so and things went horribly wrong.

This is amazingly done! I interpret this as William Afton exploring his past and remembering all of his wrongdoings. After thirty years of loneliness and time to process his entire life in this cycle of death, mourning, vengeance, and confusion, he comes to regret all of his actions. He tries to take his own life numerous times to cease his pain, but he cannot, as he lacks the ability to die, I believe, as a form of punishment for the killings. So, he visits his past, reminding himself of everything he did, realizing that he went from killing out of grief to killing out of satisfaction, which led to his psychopathic traits. As if to try and repent for his immoral works, he kills his past self repeatedly. I believe Charlotte was spectating him to truly determine whether he was genuinely remorseful or not, and I believe that when she witnesses him killing himself multiple times, she soon finds it in herself to forgive him for all the chaos he had caused. This is a phenomenal animation! Keep it up! God bless!

William is such an iconic and interesting character,no matter how you look at him.

This was absolutly beautiful, I love to see Springtrap's (more human) side, seeing him feel sorrow and regret, and suicidal.
This is one of the best and unique SFMs in fnaf community so far. Instead of showing us damn psycho who would overcome death just to continue harming everything on his way or to get his revenge, like everyone else does, you actually showed us, I'm not afraid of this word, a Normal person. Yes, he most probably did kill those children, but you showed us something we would never get from any other Fnaf SFM - murder's emotions. Real ones, not romantic. You can clearly see him shaking 7:54. He does not feel safe after killing people and he does not know if he can get away with that. He's afraid of his consequences.
And even after being revived and finding safety, he does not want to continue this. He's tired. At least until the end.
This deserves much more popularity in fnaf community.
For the people that's pointing out the tale and tail thing:
He's missing both. He's missing a tail and his tale is never told, therefore it's missing as well.
All everyone knows him as is a murderer.

seeing this in 2021 after EVERYTHING I've seen and heard about this iconic character... When he went into one of his parent's boxes and laid down with the music box... I won't lie it made me feel sorry for the man, Then the memory of him being a child murderer quickly nullified that feeling (Not to mention the fact that he tried killing himself multiple times) This is just sad but also well deserved on his end. (There is a limit to how far a punishment can go before it is called revenge.)

This is a truly broken man. After so long trapped inside the safe room...30 years...and I don't doubt the springlocks still hurt...and he just wants to finally die for good. He misses his family, his humanity, but he knows that's something he can never get back, and so he gets a new, even more broken suit, just to make himself weaker and more likely to die.

I love how the unkillable corpse that has a multitude of metal shards encased in his flesh thinks a knife will kill him.
I still can’t feel any pity for William Afton, he’s done some truly horrendous things and still came back to continue doing it, even after his death.
But still I can empathize, in the sense that, he looks like he’s feeling immeasurable loss in this, like his whole life came crashing down.
He still deserves hell but I can tell that there’s just the smallest amount of regret within him. Almost like he wants to go back and make sure none of this ever happened.
I'm not scared, this is just so sad, we never got to see his perspective after the failure, and...this just hurts to watch.
Considering his voice lines in fnaf 6 it's safe to say he is ok with hiw he ended up esspecally since was trying to get immortality anyway, which he kinda did esspecally with glitch trap.

Truly a masterpiece

Even though William was an evil person, at some point in his life, something or someone caused him to turn out the way that he did. At some point, I'd love to have an origin story to William Aftons childhood, so we could learn what made him the way he is now. Until then, we only know what he did, rather than know what made him the man that we all know.

Although it's a game, I really feel sorry for Michael... In this video, I see that his dark, sad story does not let him go, although in its form it is clear that he regrets what he has done and would like to return everything if possible, because he kills himself with a gun shot. There's no doubt that there's good in him, even though he's crazy.
At first, the story of the whole game seemed terrible, but when you see the storyline, which is much deeper than the serial games, you feel that the story is sad, sorry for everyone, even William and Michael.
