[Spoilers for land of the lustrous up to chapter 95] I JUST caught up and ooooof, seeing everyone just break phos apart and hide them away like some kind of evil mistake while they enjoyed peace and prosperity for 220 years after just...tore apart my understanding and sympathy for all the other gems and lunarians, but I still really like them all if that makes sense....but now I'm starting to feel comfortable if in the end phos scorns them all for what they did to them and dosent want to give them peace. Phos had a lot of missteps but dear lord I dont think using them like a tool after 1000 years of isolation is something they deserve. Phos really just wanted to help. Man....

post winter phos could've been saved by sensei telling him he didn't need to fight in order for people to like him, and let other people do it instead. he could be on winter patrol but rest for the rest of the time. he should have helped phos to move on and not let phos convince himself he would bring antarc back. phos could talk to dia in his spare time, as they both have problems with feeling inferior despite being polar opposites in hardness and skill. they could both gain a bit of wisdom and experience a true kinship and understanding of each other, and then maybe even pair up together like peridot and sphene. i imagine they could have been very chill and cool friends and dia would help calm phoss anxiety while phos helped dia feel truly apreciated for his battle skills and cuteness.

If only Sensei gave Phos a partner (maybe Cinnabar, as he was so alone), but no, just a useless job to write. The gems, even living together, dont really see themselves as a family, more like work coleagues. They only care about Sensei and partners sadly.
From what i got, sensei was part of the plan, thats why he forced phos to seek the lunarians (making they seek answers), and endded up like that, so they could become human and save sensei and the lunarians.

I actually read Land of the Lustrous because of this video and a few other edits. I was intrigued by the art style and high contrast panels. I can really appreciate the scenes you selected and the music you used now that I've read it all. It's so fitting for Phos's story.

i think a lot of them still did. jade apologized, euc tried to fix the situation before phos beheaded him anyways, i know deep down shinsha still cares deeply about phos. there’s also ghost, who cared so much about phos that even after rendering inactive cairngorm was still held back from her own will to protect phos. the part where antarc tried to search for phos broke my heart

First timer here, so the MC was doing a very hard task which he put all her effort into but everyone around her just didn't care but rather just a simple "thank you". He felt depressed, lonely and then snapped into pure rage, killing all the people around him. He once a hero, but now he became a monster filled with anger lingering over him. Am i correct?
that's close except no one really said thank you to the mc, rather they shattered him to pieces and left him like that for hundreds of years because of a misunderstanding, when the mc came back he asked the master to "pray" for him which means killing him, but the master failed to do so because the mc's "companions" stopped him and that's the reason the mc snapped into rage and decided to destroy everyone and not care for anything

Basically the whole story went to the path of making Phos the Human since he is the only one out of all the gems who managed to keep breaking apart while retaining itself no matter how many times. accumulating the parts of the former human. "The ending would probably Phos Praying since he's the only Gem. and the Only HUMAN there.". Same thing as Sensei was made to be as a human which did not succeed.

And what if phos denies to pray? Are they gonna keep pressuring him.
There are so many possibilities of where the story might go but all of them seem so bleak

First timer here, so the MC was doing a very hard task which he put all her effort into but everyone around her just didn't care but rather just a simple "thank you". He felt depressed, lonely and then snapped into pure rage, killing all the people around him. He once a hero, but now he became a monster filled with anger lingering over him.

that's close except no one really said thank you to the mc, rather they shattered him to pieces and left him like that for hundreds of years because of a misunderstanding, when the mc came back he asked the master to "pray" for him which means killing him, but the master failed to do so because the mc's "companions" stopped him and that's the reason the mc snapped into rage and decided to destroy everyone and not care for anything

@idiotsss liveagain wrong. He turned Phos into "HUMAN". to take upon the role of sensei . since sensei can't perform his prayer anymore. Basically the whole story went to the path of making Phos the Human since he is the only one out of all the gems who managed to keep breaking apart while retaining itself no matter how many times. accumulating the parts of the former human.
"The ending would probably Phos Praying since he's the only Gem. and the Only HUMAN there.".
Same thing as Sensei was made to be as a human which did not succeed.
