Here in Texas, you’ll find different kinds of Texas style BBQ depending on the creator’s background. Obviously traditional Texas style but also Mexican Texas style, Jamaican Texas style, Dominican Texas style, etc. He’s definitely doing a good job with his style of Texas BBQ.

I live in Texas. When my grandfather was alive and barbequed he didn't use only salt and pepper. He used other spices like cheyenne, paprika, Worcestershire and sometimes homemade hot sauce.

Even slightly embarrassed when others do call him a pitmaster. His ingredients, techniques and how about that nice 500 gallon offset smoker, very nice. And yes,putting in the love. For those who don't know, he needs to feed that beast of a smoker about once a hour one or two "splits" of firewood through the entire cook/night so the meat is just right. I am in the Dallas Frisco area. My family and I love it out here. Miss the NYC foods, friends and family we left behind but this was a great choice.
