I stayed at the Casino Royale back in June 2022. I liked the whole place (room, restaurant choices, slot machines, perfect location on the strip, refrigerator). My room was on the second floor about half way down the hall way so my window view was the loading docks of Harrah's Casino. Another place I have wondered about regarding the rooms ,so thank you for the review. Some years ago I also experienced a leaking bathroom ceiling at the Westgate. When I informed them they of course gave me a different room right away. I would hope that would be the case had you informed Casino Royale.Keep the great honest reviews coming always look forward to them .
I really liked their signature rooms for the price and especially when they started comping Lol for me the fact the monorail station is literally right there I could get to the strip in no time. The reason I stopped staying was they had significant elevator issues the last several times . I would hope by now that's all taken care of . I can't wait to hear what you think when you stay.
Thanks for your honest review. I was thinking of booking there but have been put off by the leaky ceiling and the staff's apathy about it. Think I will book downtown.

Great review. I've been here several times and never really noticed that there was a hotel here. How can you plug the $3 beer without mentioning the cheap hotdog!? Remember when Casino Royale had x100 odds on craps? I always wanted to do this. When I finally had the bank roll and courage to try it out, the tables were gone.
Ha. I can relate. I always loved Cromwell's 100x odds game, but never had the bravery to do it. I think I always played hoping I'd go on a big enough heater to justify it. As for the hot dogs... great deal for the right person... but I think I'm out, lol.

You're a braver man than I am! The wife and I LOVE Casino Royale! Solid slot selection, cheap food and cheap drinks! We've never had the guts to stay at the hotel, and why would we? I like your style, you're clearly not a drama queen and you have a great sense of humor....Respect. It strikes me as funny how obsessed people seem to be about hotel rooms in Vegas. All I need is a soft bed and a clean shower with good water pressure. You're right about the beverage service and the foot long hot dogs need more emphasis. They used to have better Video Poker but it's still a neat place. Thanks
I had a similar problem when I last stayed at Casino Royale. The occupants above me, for whatever reason, unplugged their mini fridge (with stuff inside), and water started dripping into our room. The staff comped us the rest of the stay and funny enough sent a notice to all the rooms to not unplug or turn off the mini fridge.
Yea, both the amount of cracking on the ceiling... and the employees reaction to the whole water coming out of the ceiling thing made it seem like this was pretty common.
When I stayed at Mandalay, I was in the shower and the lights went out and sparks and electrical smell started coming out of the outlet by the sink. Front desk didn’t answer for over 10 minutes. I couldn’t get packed and out of that room fast enough

I have stayed there many times over the last decade and it was always clean and tidy for being a small property. I believe the lack of concern is due to the fact that they are supposed to be getting bought out and the hotel being demolished in the near future.
@ I don't think there's even a project in the works. It's been years since their FAA authorization and it has since expired. I'd love to see something new though.
My Favorite spot to play on the strip! Play, yes. Stay, NO! You can grab a spot at Harrahs, Linq, or Flamingo for cheaper and you'll have a better room. I always eat at the Outback too - you can earn points quickly playing slots downstairs.
@@StalkingTheStrip lol that's prob why when other folks go to use it its empty !🤣😂 ( I AM JOKING) TBH im from the uk and vegas has been one of my dream destinations (as was my late fathers my sister has been a few times but she isnt a gambler they went for the experience etc and enjoyed it....but found it expensive and if your from out of the USA on a 2 week vacation there is no point signing up for the loyalty schemes at casinos as you prob get over there once or twice every few year .....im glad to see they dont charge resort fees here ......as SOME resort fees other place charge include stuff that as a tourist from outside the USA you wont use such as local phone calls ( well maybe once or twice to phone a taxi from your room but i doubt many do that as plenty of transport options in vegas and when leaving most of the time recoeption will phone you a taxi to get to the airport!) ........TBH Casino royal looks ok BUT the hotel wing needs a good renovation AND it is a best western so i was expecting it to be as you showed ..we have them in the uk (without the casino or pool ) and they are the same !
@@dizzydevil547 LOL. I emptied that thing out for sure 😬 On the resort fee front... honestly, its best to just think of it as part of the base room rate at this point. They're just part of what you pay and aren't really "for" anything (even though some hotels do a miserable job of communicating what they're for..). I'd rather pay a resort fee, and less TOTAL money for a better room. There are better options on the Strip for less. Thanks for the note!
That water from the heavens sounds like my night at Planet Hollywood - well, not my night, but the night of the guests immediately below me, as I was awakened at about 5:30 AM by building maintenance wanting to track down the source of a leak reported downstairs. The funny thing about that was that I had not taken a shower since I checked in (although there were noticeable gaps in the caulking/tile at the shower). I was kind of horrified thinking it might be the toilet seal. That was my second time staying at PH - the first time I needed to switch rooms, which required standing in a half-hour line at the front desk (at 10 pm!). I hate Planet Hollywood.
A 5:30 am surprise wakeup in Vegas would be brutal, lol. I liked my room at PH quite a bit for the price, but I also had some calk/grout cracking and wear.
You've got mighty big B$llS brother!!!! I've never heard a good thing about that hotel. However, I've spent at least a decade concurrently inside the casino! Not sure they still offer it, but we used to use our earned points up at Outback all the time. We're not very wild about Outback steaks, but we regularly would get a voucher for $100 and eat appetizers, seafood, & beers until the voucher was gone. Can't beat that for cheap eats! Nice seeing Mark - the bartender hustling behind the bar, in your video. Yes, Casino Royale IS a dive, but its got the same slots as every other casino and frosty cold cheap beers that flow down my gullet like Niagra Falls; my kind of place!!! Actually, the casino is a lot nicer now since their grand renovation a few years ago! Back in the day, we personally witnessed countless illegal activities and propositions take place there in the past. Great review - as always! Zk
The casino's a gem, if only because it's different than everything else around it from a looks & vibe perspective, and I'm not to proud to dine on 8 of those sliders over at WC either! But yea, that hotel isn't my go to, lol. Appreciate the note, as always!
I'd be grossed out to find yellow stains all over, too. Surprised they weren't more concerned about leaking water. You use just the right words to explain with humor. 👍
My wife and I went on an epic craps run there right before they got yanked. One of my better Vegas memories. Here's to hoping they bring them back someday (not holding my breath though).
@@StalkingTheStrip I would start most evenings there with 2 hours at the roulette table. They knew me by name. I do believe they will build a new hotel tower there in the coming years.
They release their rooms in chunks for some reason... Rooms are now available through the end of March. They recieved FAA clearance for a new 699 ft tower a while back, but from what I'm seeing on the ole internet, it expired yesterday. I don't think there are any immediate plans to do anything, but time will tell!
You're way more easy-going and accepting than I am. The yellow liquid on the bathroom floor would have been an immediate no and an eject for me. Take me to the dirty bird!
I'm not exaggerating when I say that I was one single click away from booking a room at LINQ. But I've slept in more austere conditions. I knew I had it in me.
That motel is disgusting! I checked into a room where I found a live roach. They moved me to another room on a different floor where there was another roach. They need to tear that place down ASAP
I enjoy playing there the only one that still has super jackpot party nice casino great drink service the sever always brings me 2 drinks they hv alot of sticken rich machines my mom n I like to play
Can't agree more on drink service - On point. I'm also a Stinkin' Rich afficianado, lol. Can't say I like the skunk's attitude on the newer versions though. He's always staring at me, smugly, clapping his hands followed by no action. That said, I keep crawling back to him.
Honestly, that was kind of the point of the video. At $90-$200+/nt depending on the day, this is much more expensive than better options (IMO). This isn't remotely close to being a "budget hotel".
I have such a soft spot for that casino. Our first trip, we played blackjack switch for hours. On another trip, we hit our first royal flush on video poker. That said, I wouldn’t stay there.
Oh no..... Looks like every other best western room I've ever seen. Man I do not look forward to trying this place out. Althought I do want to stay at every possible location on the strip.
Have never liked the casino royal , never stayed there, now never will, I was with my friend who was stuck on a machine, so i sat down to play sharknado, gone now, don't know why , but anyway I didn't know how to play it, there was a bench seat which made a homeless person set down next to me and expla in to me how to play the game. Memorable times.😅😂😅😂😅😂
@@joromain2939 that room cost between $90 and $200+ per night. I don’t really know what you’re trying to say, but that’s not cheap by any stretch of the imagination

Good to know the loyalty program is legit. I'll take a few free bloomin onions!

Did the weather report on the television say minor wet sprinkles throughout the day & night, LOL !
The weather was more favorable outdoors than in my room I'm afraid, lol.
Great vid but the music drove me a bit nuts 😵💫
lol Thanks - I'll have a tough convo with our music selection intern. Appreciate the note!
How did you get passed the smell in the casino?
I thrive off the smell of desperation and cigarette smoke.
@StalkingTheStrip I'm talking about the mold and mildew stench from the flooding
@@d1ja6 a guy just has to push through and persevere.

Appreciate it!
What do you expect the staff to do about a leaky roof? All they can do is move you.
I don’t care either way. It’s not my walls being destroyed.
review the oyo, Jerry's nugget , downtown grand casinos
@@dylanjimenez1952 DTG is awesome! Gallery Tower!
Jerry’s Nugget has the best Prime Rib and Pastries in all of Clark County, for half the price of Strip properties.
OYO is a joke.
Our buddy the Elardi family owns it, solid people, they would handle the leak problem in minutes if they were told about it.
Darn! Shoulda called the owner instead of telling the front desk.
You sound Canadian. Are you Canadian?😁
Ha! Minnesotan - BUT, I was born to two US citizens up in Manitoba oddly. So I am a dual citizen. Good ear!
I stay at MGM properties, but I also miss their live table games!
Part of me wonders (and I have NO idea) if they got the FAA approval in order to shop the property to someone who would redevelop it?
They're tearing it down and replacing it, aren't they? You can't book a room online after January.
They release their rooms in chunks for some reason... Rooms are now available through the end of March. They recieved FAA clearance for a new 699 ft tower a while back, but from what I'm seeing on the ole internet, it expired yesterday. I don't think there are any immediate plans to do anything, but time will tell!
Stay at The D on Fremont!
I have yet to experience that one! A roach would be grounds for immediate departure in my book. Nope. Nope. Nope.
Still probably urine from the septic pipe in your ceiling 😂
I sure hope not...
I didn’t even know they had rooms and I’ve lived here for 32 years
Time to book a stay!
I didn't know anyone actually stayed at Casino Royale. And if they watch your video, no one will!
You'd be surprised! I think they're pretty consistantly booked up and have a pretty loyal fan base. It just isn't for me.

Glad I did too. The mysterious source of the puddle would've haunted me for years otherwise.

@@thishappyhousewife9341 😂
All the hotels in Vegas have problems. You can read the negative reviews. At least at the Best Western you're not paying a premium price for it.
Honestly, that was kind of the point of the video. At $90-$200+/nt depending on the day, this is much more expensive than better options (IMO). This isn't remotely close to being a "budget hotel".
Casino Royale is the bomb 😃😃😃quit hating 😞😞😞
Hey, there's a lot to like there! The hotel just isn't for me.
I have such a soft spot for that casino. Our first trip, we played blackjack switch for hours. On another trip, we hit our first royal flush on video poker.
