Hi Guys, the inspiration for this video came from the Re-edited version that www.youtube.com/@TheForce_Productions made on his channel, go check him out since you can truly tell that he loves what he does Timestamps: Intro: 0:00 Guitar: 0:18 Band Comes in: 2:26 Verse: 3:03 Solo: 3:45 Verse: 4:13 Bridge: 4:39 Interlude: 4:58 Verse: 6:00 Solo: 6:44 UNCUT Version Starts: 8:46 UNCUT Version Ends: 9:25 Outro: 10:12
It is genius how often he returns to the same positions with a new phrase, and how it evolves! "...Thought of something more to say..." - Time, Pink Floyd
Well, don't have to search anymore, I also saw they weren't any live versions of this songs tabbed out, so I decided to give it a try. They usually tab Comfortably Numb or some things from the Dark side, and since this is one of the best song of the show I decided to do it
Your channel is huge. Gilmours catalog is HUGE. Makes sense. I built 2 black strats over the last 3 years with lots of help from California and Arizona. One with a maple and one with a rosewood. Now I have your channel to help expand on what I already know. Thanks for being you.😊
Saw him last sunday in Rome. He has lost a lot compared to this but still sounds epic. I think this exact solo is one of the most underrated in history.
This whole performance is one of the best live performances I've ever seen. I'd do a lot of things to be able to travel back in time and witness this live.
The dives in the intro/outro are a full octave down, using Whammy pedal (he discussed this in an interview with Guitar World magazine). He'd used a Floyd Rose-equipped guitar in the studio, and had to "fake" it live.
@@347Jimmy I didn't know that, I guess I'll have to read more magazines. I based the tab on this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/Nwcf-z2hEOc/видео.htmlsi=TZj9BSgShp0nlNKS At least it sounds good enough to play along
@@xricky14tabs it's easier to see in the Poland footage (as opposed to the Pulse/Earl's Court footage), Dave doesn't dive his bar anywhere near as much as he should (for the heard pitch), and clearly has his foot on a pedal. The tabs you've got are better than how I was playing most of it anyways lol side note: I think the live versions on Strats have much nicer tone than whatever he used in the studio original.
He used his custom carbon fiber Steinberger through a tiny Galien Kruger amp is what was used in the studio. I think this live rig sounds just as good.
hey man! love your content, would you mind taking a look at "who says" by john mayer? any version would be good, although the one he does with robbie and david when johns got the long hair is a good one. just an idea man, thanks!

Gilmour is in a class of his own! Love his sound and skills. Greatness!
All I got to say is THANK YOU. Been try to find a tab to this song for years.

This is brilliant!! The song, the sound, and the notation there to follow along.

Please do as much floyd as possible!!!
🙏🏻❤️
Tbqh I always thought that the intro was him playing one note with an octave pedal.
There’s just no one that can do what Gilmour does.
congratulations👏👏 Is it possible to have/purchase the backing track / Tab... without the guitar? Thank you
