    While driving my son to work at 3AM, AC came on mysteriously. On my way home, i stopped for gas, turned off the car, AC STAYED on!. The clerk saw my distress and tried to disconnect battery so I could go to work and not have a dead battery. Not he, nor i nor 3 other men could break the nut free. Realizing that my battery would die while I slept for 2 1/2 hours before work, I got myself ready and came to work early. While sitting outside my employers hone, while i waited i checked for a video, and here it was! Exactly what i needed! Now I know the blower motor fuse is #30A in the driver's doorside compartment. No more AC until I get this fixed, but no dead battery either!
    THANK YOU!

    I had to change the 15A fuse for cigarette lighter / 12v sockets, located under the steering wheel. The cover needed a little downwards persuasion at 2:35, I used a small pry bar. It makes sense to check for spare fuses on the side panel (1:15), and also there's a fuse puller which is handy. This fuse is a mini version of the standard European auto fuse that I am familiar with on my 1991 SAAB.

    Rear compartment fuse box, #36/37 (rear window heater) seem to be inaccessible by removing the panel...do I have to pull the wheel well panel to access those two fuses? My rear window heater isn't working and I kind of need to get to this. Any advice would be appreciated. (I know this post is several years old...just hoping here)

    Hi! Glad I came across your video. I have 2005 XC90. The drivers and passengers door mirrors do not move when I use the driver's door panel mirror knob. Is this because of a blown fuse? How would I know what a blown fuse looks like? I was planning to take my car in to get fixed but now I think maybe it's the fuse??

    • @DriveTimeDIY
      @DriveTimeDIY  3 года назад +1

      Usually there is a legend (device list) on or near the fuse box that tells you which slot is for which device. Also if you still happen to have your owners manual, its listed in there too.
      When you pull a fuse out, hold it up to the light. They are translucent plastic so you can see through them. You can see if the little metal ribbon inside is broken (blown fuse) or solid (fuse ok).
      Excellent question-good luck Donna! 😊

    How do I get a picture and fuse size of large fuses under the hood of 2006 Volvo xc90

  • @stevenb320
    @stevenb320 4 года назад

    Leave it to the German vehicles to have multiple fuse box locations. Only plus is they give a legend to know which fuse does what.

    • @DriveTimeDIY
      @DriveTimeDIY  3 года назад

      For the wipers, it may not be a fuse. It could be one of the relay breakers.. Those are located in a plastic box on the driver side, under the hood, close to the firewall. Sorry I can’t be more help. I’m just not positive.
