  • Dull Shoprine Fix
    Fix the unappreciated dull finish that WWEShop out on the “Big Gold” World Heavyweight Championship. My friend and fellow belt enthusiast Kenton Y. Told me to use Never-Dull to give it a good polish. I’ve always been reluctant on clear coating my belt so this was the next best option. Let me know if not works for you.

    Just ordered the new updated version on wwe shop with the font fixed. The gold shines much more with the updated belt

    Yes nevr-dull is great to make a shine ✨ on belts my 2mm big gold had tarnish and I was mad upset. My mum saved my belt by using nevr-dull and the shine from my belt was great. So I’m happy to see you using this technique on a newer wwe shop big gold championship great video 👍🏻

    It probably works on shop belts because they're not gold plated guys. I think this is a great video, keep us updated on how it looks in the future bro

      What is it exactly? Is it gold paint or brass plating? There are bits on mine (particularly on the right side of the right side plate) where the "gold" didn't take and it appears to be plated with brass or something.
      I saw a can of Nevr Dull at Walmart and it said not to use it on painted or plated metals. So I don't know if it will damage the finish on the belt if I use it.

    Was you using the magic eraser to clean the belt with? Cause that’s what it look like a little bit

    • @WorldChampionshipLounge
      @WorldChampionshipLounge  10 месяцев назад

      Nah just pulled out some never dull right out of the can. I thought about using magic eraser but you don’t want to go past the dull coated layer. You just want to have it be abrasive enough to just get rid of the dull layer they put on there

    Again, one small step that makes a huge difference, I don’t understand wwe shop s thinking process lol

    I just scored the V1 belt on eBay for $270. I initially wanted to get the V2 from WWE when it was $315 a month or so ago but didn't have the funds at the time and then they sold out fast. The V1 still looks nice to me. Might try to polish it up a little like you did if it looks odd in person but i don't care too much either way.

      Also will that thing you used to polish it work fine with other WWE replica belts?

  • @freakzilla1198
    @freakzilla1198 10 месяцев назад +3

    But...is it a temporary fix and does it go away with handling it after you use it? Does it tarnish easier after using this and does it hurt the plates?

  • @MattyOomps

    Looks greats but when the polish drys will it look dull again?

    • @WorldChampionshipLounge
      @WorldChampionshipLounge  11 месяцев назад

      If you don’t get through the dull coating it will remain dull. Like I was trying to say in the beginning of the video. Parts of the belt that was heavily handled the dull coat wore off and there is a shine underneath. So if you never dull the dull coat away it should be fine

    • @MattyOomps
      @MattyOomps 10 месяцев назад

      Well it looks great but is it just polishing over the dull coat making it shine or is the nevr -dull removing the actual dull layer exposing the shine underneath?

    • @mjso
      @mjso 10 месяцев назад

      @@MattyOompsI’m assuming this is just removing whatever lacquer they use to protect the plating and leaving just the gold plating exposed

    • @MattyOomps
      @MattyOomps 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@mjsoPossibly but I’m assuming it’s just polished and therefore reflecting light. The site says “Not for use on laquered or painted surfaces” so idk if the risk is worth the reward when clear coats are proven to work.

      @@thecarolinabull01 Absolutely! Made the the plates pop 10 times better, I'm still amazed at the difference. Tape off the leather, you don't want it on the strap at all, apply a few coats and let it sit. There is some videos that explain it a lot better on youtube.

    Weird, never dull has traditionally been used to strip gold plating off of replica belts

    • @MattyOomps
      @MattyOomps 10 месяцев назад

      That’s why I’m hesitant to trying this, I read it’s minimally abrasive stuff.

    • @thecarolinabull01
      @thecarolinabull01 2 месяца назад

      I used Blue Magic cream on mine. Non-abrasive, but you can end up with blue bits in the crevices (especially the conchos and the grapplers), especially if you put too much on. Fortunately I was able to get most of it off with a toothbrush after the fact.
