Loved seeing the guy handbuilding radiators. I've heard it said that it's such an exacting job that it can only be done by eye, no machine yet made can possibly get it right 100% every time. Yet if you take your Royce to the factory the radiator men can take one look at your car and tell you which of them built its radiator.

This is truly an inspiring Organization that values human efforts than bots. Not all can be automated in this world.

Only a handful have matched Rolls Royce in it body design, Bugatti clearly met that standard in the 1930's and sat a standards of 100 years before its time.
It looks like an OPART: Out of place artifact" and continues to stagger the mind.
*Hands-down, the 1930's was the "Most Outstanding Decade in Automotive Design".*

I heard there are no gaskets in a Rolls engine as the surfaces match so perfectly.

RR doesn't have many gaskets because they use O rings instead everywhere they can, like in aerospace (they made these decisions when they were primarily an aeroplane engine contractor and only 10% involved in making cars). They do have a few paper gaskets, for the tappet cover they use a find thread of silk. Yes the pieces are very exact. No RTV like domestic motors... But they have regular head gaskets. Regular exhaust manifold gaskets. Their engines very overbuilt in the 1960s, all forged h beam rods, forged crank, deep skirt block, steel wet liners (like a diesel train locomotive). And all this for 180hp in 6.23 litres or 6.75L long stroke. It was easy to add power up to 500hp 800NM torque with this foundation laid down in 1959, which remained in production as late as the 2020 Bentley Mulsanne. But since VW took over the engines have been eating camshafts with no available fix, so keep in mind the quality left when the bankers walked in. (the banker situation goes back to 1980 but didn't get bad until late 90s)

@@davidweston9115 Thank-you for taking the time and sharing the info. I remember seeing a V12 in a hydroplane boat from the 1950's not running but on display. Quite impressive, had won it's share of races.
