  • Ostriches display distinct reproductive behavior. The male ostrich performs an intricate courtship dance, involving bowing, wing flapping, tail shaking, and stomping to impress the female. If the female ostrich is interested, she signals her approval by flapping her wings backward, bending her neck forward, and producing a clapping sound with her beak.
The female ostrich lays her eggs in a communal nest, which is shared with other females. Interestingly, one male and one female take turns incubating the eggs.
